Chap 8- Mystery: I’ve Found A Clue!
“She has just been murdered!” My friend, Valerie, said.
“Who is this ‘she’?” I asked, raising my eyebrow.
“That’s what we have to find out.” My other friend, Jake, muttered as he gazed at the passerby’s suspiciously, “But, she might be dropping by any minute now…”
I nodded, “Okay,”
Suddenly, a dead body dropped in front of us and I gasped while my friend, Jake, screamed in horror. My jaw dropped at the sight of the body in front of us.
“It’s a body,” I stated the obvious.
“And, it’s dead,” Jake added.
“It’s her!” Val exclaimed.
“It’s she?” I asked, curiously.
“Yes, yes! It’s her!” Val said with wild eyes.
“Hm, so it’s her.”
“Yeah, okay… so now what?” Jake asked.
I stared at the body for a moment, we should probably…
I shrugged, “Let’s go get a smoothie.”
Jake and Val nodded as they muttered, “Yeah, sure.”
Just as we turned around to leave, a raspy voice called out, “Help… me…”
We dashed back to ‘her’ and interrogated her for everything.
“What’s my grandmother’s name?” I asked.
“What’s the name of the movie coming up next month?” Val asked.
“What’s the color of the blue sky?” Jake asked.
The girl sat up, placing a hand on her forehead, “Where am I…?”
Jake furrowed his eyebrows at her, “Hey, we ask the questions here!”
Then, we all started asking questions at once and the girl suddenly screamed, stood up and ran away. We stared at her retreating figure…
I narrowed my eyes. I knew it; she never knew my grandmother’s name!
--- THAT’S IT GUYS!! PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THE SEQUEL!! ---
Me: And this, ladies and gentlemen… was a mystery story. I couldn’t figure out anything!! (SARCASM ALERT!)
PS- this is actually sort of a side note or something, but… what do you guys think of me writing an actual story…?
