Rain

Rain beating on my fragile chest
I lie still,
Too afraid to move
But its not fear that's holding me,
Its guilt.
The guilt you've driven into my mind
With your lies
So I lie there in the rain,
Tears flowing, even the rain can't wash them away.

Rain beating on my fragile chest,
I lie still,
Too afraid to move
I'm thinking -
Why don't I just say it? You're wrong!
Instead I let the guilt consume me
Because you're the only one who can help me
So I must exercise diplomacy,
I am a hypocrite.
Rain dance on my fragile chest
Kill me before this guilt does.
