Escape

All the while I sit here in the sunset
Beaconing for her to set the hate aside
Come with me, travel through time
Dying never,
Everlasting life and love
Forever free from misery and grief
Grounded in truth, separated from lies and
Haste,
Ignorant ties that breed confusion,
Jumping from soil to soul like a lost
Kangaroo
Limp and pained
My heart cannot sustain this
Narcissistic brain of yours
Overloaded with selfishness
Pompous and presumptuous
Quickly mocking but judging quietly
Rushing to my side as the sunset fades,
Surely you must think me foolish to
Truly trust you. Even though my love is
Undeniable my efforts may be in
Vain cause your chains are bound to this game and -
Weak are the flames of desire, like the dimming sunset,
Yet so beautiful to behold and marvel and wonder its
Zeal and zestful nature - take my hand woman and we can have this sunset forever.
