I grabbed both her delicate feminine hands and led her to the front of the house, and out the door. There we stood in the driveway as the last of the evening light reflected off the car into our eyes. Squinting, I continued walking to the Aston Martin and let go of her hands as I walked to my side of the car.

I got in and turned the keys hanging in the ignition. The car rumbled before backing down the driveway between two rows of red rose bushes.

How coincidental.

She shot me a smile and I gave her a quick peck on the lips.

Too quick for my liking.

"So, guess where we're going," I questioned her.

"Someplace....fun? I hope?" She joked with a cute smile apon her face that drew from ear to ear.

I shook my head, flinging the hair out of my eyes.

"Maybe..." I replied with my most playful tone.

She laughed and rolled down her window.

"Its pretty out here, in the country." She examined.

"Mhmm." I hummed. I kept my eyes on the road. Little creatutes like squirrels and such were known to sprint across the roads in these parts.

*****

About five minutes later we arrived at the movie theatre.

"You can open your eyes now." I announced as I led Serena out of the car, my hands covering her eyes.

"Oh stop," She blushed.

I bought our tickets and she went off to buy the snacks.

I handed the cashier the money and turned around to see a guy checking Serena out a few feet away from me.

He shot a whistle at her. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

"Hey, you! Asshole!" I yelled at the guy.

His focus drifted from Serena to me.

"Zane, relax," Serena called with a shaky voice. Her eyes reflected her nervous expression.

"Who do you think you are?" The guy hollered at me.

I could tell there was quite a few people staring now.

"Her fucking boyfriend!" I called back.

"Whatever," He grumbled. "See you later, baby."  He winked at her. That made me so sick. Like she was a prize to be won.

"What a dick...." I grumbled.

He turned around. "What did you just call me?" He asked.

"You heard me." I replied as my fist connected with his jaw, making him stumble backwards.

"Zane!" Serena shrieked.

She backed away from us.

The guy stepped foward to return a swing at me and I ducked, flipping him over my shoulder.

I stormed away, grabbing Serena by the arm and dragging her in the general direction of our theatre.

When we had gotten far enough from the guy, I stopped and grabbed her by the shoulders.

"Are you alright?" I asked her.

She seemed fine, I mean, he never touched her.

"The question is, are you alright?" She cooed, brushing her right hand lightly against my cheek, moving my hair out of my eyes.

My eyes, full of fury. How dare he?

"Yeah," I mumbled, kicking at the carpet, which looked like it came straight from 1983.

She tilted my head up so I was looking at her.

"You didn't need to be so rash," She whispered.

Before I could defend my actions, she pulled me into a kiss.

Well enough, It shut me up and my tense body relaxed in her arms.

"You know I love you," She told me.

"I love you too a lot." I gave her a quick kiss again and took her hand.

We walked down the hallway and into our movie.

I had decided to take her to see Midnight in Paris.

It was a romantic comedy about historic Paris, in the roaring twenties.

We took our seats, trying to carefully avoid the intertwined couples in the already dark room. The movie had already started.

She snuggled into my shoulder. It was kind of cute.

*****

After the movie we drove home. She had fallen asleep in the car when we got there.

"Serena...babe...wake up," I nudged her from the driver's side of the car. I was tired as well. I looked at the car's clock. It was 1:04 Am! Gah, that's late.

I lifted her light body out of the car and carried her into the house. I set her down on the bed upstairs, in our room. I went downstairs and closed the front door.

Walking back up the stairs, I paused to notice the sound of irregular breathing. She was awake.

"Serena?" I called.

"Hmmnnmhnmm," She mumbled, clearly still drowsy.

I walked into the room. She had curled up on the bed and fallen back asleep.

I took off my clothes and kicked them into a pile on the floor. I sat on the bed which bounced, ajusting to the weight of a second person. She didn't wake up.

I shook her.

"Serena! Get up."

"Mhmmnmmm," She whined. "What,"

"Get up. We're going to bed."

Hesitantly, she pulled off her shirt and jeans. She curled up next to me.

"Zane, I'm tired."

I layed back on the bed.

"I know, love. I know. Me too."

She ajusted herself so her head rested on my chest. She looked up at me and gave me a sweet smile that acompanied a goodnight kiss.

"I love you." She said as she snuggled into me.

I put my arm around her.

"I love you too."

Awhhhhhh!

So protective of her, he is.

Gotta love him! <3
