Sarah

Sam and I ended up in Jimmy K's pool house along with Alan, Jimmy F and some other guys. In here they have a ping-pong table, so we decided to play some rounds of beer pong.

Jimmy, Alan and I ended up in the same team, along with a girl names Helen. Sam's team consisted of him and Helen's two girlfriend, plus a guy I forgot the name of. Having not played beer pong earlier in my life I turn out to be shit at the game, surprise surprise.

Alan's also shit at the game and even though Jimmy tries his best to win, we lose greatly and have to drink from most of the cups. Hence it doesn't take long before a warm, fuzzy feeling is filling me up and all my problems seem worlds away.

"Man! We suck!" I giggle and stumble to my right whilst trying to find the best throwing position. With the ping-pong ball tightly held in my hand, I aim for one of the remaining cups at the other end. Sam's team have three cups left, while my team only have one. Sure enough I miss my shot and the turn goes over to Helen. I groan loudly when she scores he ball right into our remaining cup. Helen squeals out loud and does a victory jump. Alan's looking downright pissed and mumbles something before leaving the room.

"What's gotten his panties in a twist?" I frown while Jimmy's downing the last cup of beer.

"He's one hell of a sore looser." Jimmy informs me before taking his last sip. He makes a face as he swallows the remains. Unlike me he seems completely unbothered by the alcohol, whereas I'm starting to see double at times. There was probably something more in the cups than just beer, some of them tasted really bad. I believe I saw Helen run around with a see through bottle before we began the game, adding some clear liquid into the cups.

"That's right, we lost.... Ah." I let out a disappointed sigh and look across the table. Sam is watching me with a grin plastered on his face and I frown at him, which makes him laugh.

"But hey, what happens with the remaining cups?" I ask puzzled, blinking multiple times to get my sight to focus.

"You'll have to drink them as well." Helen says quickly, looking mischievous.

"Hell no! That's not the rules." Jimmy says at the same time as I go, "alright."
Refusing to drink another cup of the "beer", Jimmy decides to leave as well along with the nameless guy. Left behind is me, Sam and Helen.

"Guess I'll have to drink it all myself then." I think out loud and walk over to the other two. Picking up two cups at once. Though Sam stops me with a shake of his head.

"I think one is more than enough, so how about I drink the other one?" He suggests, but take the cup before I can answer.

"Alright." I say once again, shrugging my shoulders and smile at him sloppily.

"First one to down the cup wins." Sam proposes childishly and a serious drinking competition begins. I try as hard as I can to drink it all in one go, but the taste is so vile that I am forced to stop halfway through.

"Oh god, I think I might throw up." I whimper and clutch my belly tightly.

"Please don't." Helen comments from behind me and scrunch her nose. I listen to Helen's words and after a long battle with my internals I manage to keep my digested food where it's supposed to be. I give the others a small nod once I'm sure that my stomach won't turn itself inside out. I can see both of them sag in relief and smile briefly.

"Sooo, what now?" I ask them whilst balancing my body back and forth on my feet.

"I say we look for some cute guys." Sam suggests cheekily and I scrunch my nose.

"I don't know..." I start hesitantly, my blurry thoughts immediately go to Jack. Although he's really hard to focus on at the moment.

"Come on, you need a diversion." Sam insists and I grimace at his choice of word.

"Well... I know a couple of attractive boys and could always introduce you two, if you'd like?" Helen interrupts us and Sam lights up.

"Yes! That's a great idea!" He almost chirps and I join his happy mood with a goofy grin.

"Please lead the way." Sam encourages Helen and she doesn't need to be told twice. Following her like an excited dog, Sam almost run past her. I trot after them still feeling somewhat unsure if my stomach will decide to do a somersault or not. I don't have time to overthink it, almost loosing track of Helen and Sam.

They have already proceed over most of the lawn and are heading inside the house. I scurry after them and manage to trip over my own set of legs. With a loud yell I tumble to the ground and fall head first deep into the snow covered ground.
Surprisingly enough the snow isn't as cold as I thought it would be. It's also very soft and make a very good bed, I realize as I lay there perfectly still. Though after some time it does start to get cold and, no matter how much my body complains during the process, I arise from my comfy position. Continuing my slow trot I finally reach the incredibly illuminated house. I can almost see just how lit up my face is by all the light streaming through the windows.

By now the cold has really started to get to me and with a shaky hand, I reach for one of the porch slide doors. Clutching my arms around me to keep myself warm, I cross the porch and open yet another door to get inside to the living room. In here the party is getting turned up and there's people dancing on both sofas, chairs and tables.

I lost sight of Sam and Helen ages ago and have no idea how to find them. With the feeling of being abandoned I start to make my way toward the kitchen. Hoping they might be in there. Sure enough they aren't, however the one person I wish to avoid is.

I don't gather Jack's attention when I step inside, however Miles spots me immediately.

"Sarah!" He shouts happily, bringing up his arms and coming my way. With my senses being a bit slow at the moment, I find myself in yet another bear hug. This time however I'm glad about it and eagerly hug him back. Once he finally lets go of me, he brings his arm around my shoulders.

"Hey, you should meet everyone." He roars and bring me closer to the small group of people joined around the kitchen table. The ones seated seem to be playing some sort of card game. The others are watching it lazily while chatting with one another. Jack was seated when I entered the room, but is now shifting spots with a girl I recognize from school. He somehow manages to end up right next to Miles and I, and my muscles start to tremble.

"Hi." Jack says with a smile as he comes up to us.

"Waddup dude?" Miles sounds like a real stoner and I'm starting to wonder if he might be doing more than just drinking tonight.

"I was actually wondering if I could steal Sarah away for a moment?"
