I waited at the park for twenty minutes. It was dark and really cold, but I didn’t mind. No one was around and it was really quiet since it was a small neighborhood.

I looked at my watch and it was already 11:59 so I sat down on a bench. I didn’t care how long she would take; I’d wait here for years if I had to. I KNEW it was Audri who left that note in my wallet.

“Chris,” a voice whispered from behind me and I quickly turned around and stood up.

There she was in her housekeeping uniform.

“Audri?” I asked, remembering the dream I had some time ago and how it went almost exactly like this, “Am I dreaming?”

“No, you’re not,” she held her arms out and I quickly paced over to her and grabbed her tight.

“It’s you…” I couldn’t help but cry, “It’s really you.”

“Yes, Chris,” she rubbed my back and held on to me as tight as I held on to her.

There was complete silence as we continued embracing each other, not saying a word…just in complete shock.

“I’ve missed you so much,” she said after a few minutes.

I was getting all of my tears on her shirt, “You don’t know how much I’ve missed you too. I’ve dreamt of this moment for years.”

“Me too,” she laid her head on my shoulder and wept silently.

“I have so many things I want to ask you. I thought you died… I thought you’d be gone forever,” we rocked back and forth as we clasped on to each other.

“No, I have to tell you everything. I feel like I owe you an explanation,” we finally let go, “Sit down Chris.”

I kept smiling at the fact that I was staring at Audri. I hadn’t seen her in almost six years, and she still looked as beautiful as I last saw her. I never thought this day would finally come. I never thought this would happen. I was on cloud-nine, and just wanted to look at her forever.

We both sat down on the bench, and I noticed her shivering since it was cold outside.

“You wanna wear my jacket?” I asked, already taking it off before she answered me.

I handed it to her and she wrapped it around her arms, “So, Chris, I know you might be mad at me because I basically faked my death, lied to you, and left you here with our daughter, but I have a reason for all of that.”

I took her hand and couldn’t stop smiling even though I should be mad that she left me, “So tell me.”

“Okay,” she started but I cut her off when I leaned in to kiss her.

I didn’t want this moment to be ruined by whatever it was she was going to tell me, so I did what I’ve always wanted to do if I ever saw her again.

Audri moved closer to me and wrapped her arms around my head to deepen the kiss. She gave me multiple soft kisses all over my face, and I felt like I was in heaven. As our lips glided over each other’s, I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic. I missed the touch of her and the softness of her lips. I wanted this moment to last forever. My lips moved down to her neck and I continued giving her rough yet delicate kisses on her neck which made her moan a little. The moan that I had been longing to hear since forever. I knew this wasn’t a dream. This was Audri, and I was glad to get this chance to kiss her once more.

“Chris,” she spoke after we finally stopped and then laughed to herself, “I can’t remember the last time I felt so much passion in a kiss.”
