-Louis’s P.O.V.-

“Look, mate, you’re gonna have to do it sometime or another, so why don’t you get it over and done with sooner, rather than later?” Harry reasoned with me, later that evening. I’d just got Tete into bed and was discussing with the lads when, and how, I’d tell management about me having a daughter

“Ok,” I sighed, “I’ll call them now.” I brought up the ‘management’ contact in my phone and was about to click ‘call’ when my phone started buzzing

‘Incoming call – management’

It read. I gulped and eyed my phone cautiously. Hesitantly I slid the arrow and held the phone to my ear.

“Hello, Louis Tomlinson, speaking” I said in my most professional voice possible.

“Ahh, just the man we were hoping for,” someone said on the other end of the line, I couldn’t recognise their voice, but I never was very good at matching normal voices to phone voices, “after watching the interview from earlier over a couple of times, we’ve decided that there’s some issues we need to discuss with you, don’t worry, you’re not in trouble for now, just bring the kid along. Now, don’t lie to me now, the kid is yours, isn’t she? And the story you made up is a cover, am I right?” He said, more sternly

“Yes,” I whispered

“Ok, so bring her along to the meeting tomorrow, and we’ll talk about matters further from there, ok?”

“Ok.” I gulped, yet again, “What time should I be there and should any of the other’s come?” I asked, sounding more confident that I felt.

“You should be here for 10am and it’s up to you whether you bring any of the others, or not. But I think it would be better if it were just you and the kid.”

“Ok”

“Well, glad that’s cleared up, bye, for now, Louis. I will see you tomorrow.” With that he hung up and I let out a long breath of air that I didn’t know I was holding. That went a lot better than I thought it would! But only time will tell how the meeting pans out.

I told the lads what was happening, and that I’d decided that I’d go on my own, with Tete. At first Harry’d objected, but after a sharp look he backed down his argument.

I then went to my room, gave Tete a kiss on her fat, podgy cheek and got into bed.

As I lay there in bed, staring at the ceiling, I couldn’t help but think that I was forgetting something… Then I remembered it, the piece of paper from the girl! I quickly pulled my phone out and typed a message to the number she’d written;

‘Hi Eleanor, it’s Louis!

Thanks for helping me with the microphone today, but tell me this, what’s a pretty girl like you, doing behind the scenes?

Surely you should be the one in front of the camera, not behind it?!’

Yes, I know my attempts at flirting were terrible, but it was worth a try, right? I sent the message, and turned on my side, closing my eyes, not expecting to get a reply at all, let alone within the next few minutes! I picked up the phone and examined the words carefully;

‘Hey, Louis!

I never even thought you’d text me, but clearly you proved me wrong!

Haha, thanks, but it’s only a part-time volunteer job. The station needed people to work behind scenes, thought it would be a good opportunity, so decided that I’d give it a go!

Eleanor x’

I read it through a couple of times before sending a reply;

‘Ahh, makes sense! So what do you do full-time, if you don’t work at the station full-time?
