Jonathan's POV

So, I know what you're thinking. Jon? What are you doing at the bookstore? Don't you have some party to go to? Well, I swear, there's a good reason. And that reason was Annabeth Jackson.

If you don't go to the Institution of Art, you may not have known that Annabeth was in the Architecture program, or that she was in the top of her class.

If you don't know Annabeth Jackson, you also may not know that she has blonde princess curls or that she has gray, stormy eyes. She's lean and muscular, and tall.

Essentially, she's the whole package- fit, pretty, and smart. Well, not the whole package. I would complete her, but she refused me. So today, I was planning on asking her out.

I walked down the aisles, searching for Annabeth. Down the Young Adult section, the magazines, the... Right there! In the nonfiction section.

"What do you think about this, Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth asks and turns to a man that I hadn't seen.

"Seaweed Brain" has raven black windswept hair and bright green eyes. He's tall and lean, and leans up against a bookshelf, twiddling a pen.

"Marine Biology?" He says, reading the title of a book Annabeth had chosen, "Don't I know everything about fish? I can speak to them."

"Well Percy, did you know that," Annabeth flips to a random page and reads, "Goldfish can see infrared radiation that is invisible to us?"

"... No," Percy smiled sheepishly at her and takes the book.

Annabeth smiled victoriously and continues her search.

As she turns to walk out of the aisle, I step in front of her.

"Oops," I say "accidentally" running into her as her books fall to the ground.

"It's fine." Annabeth doesn't even look at me and begins to pick up her books on architecture. Alright, let's try again.

I bend down and reach for the same book as she did, and our hands "accidentally" touch. She looks up at me now.

Her gray eyes are dark and intimidating. I go for my move now.

"Annabeth, would you like to go out with me?" I ask.

Annabeth's eyes light up and a smile forms on her face. Percy gives me goofy look and begins to laugh, and Annabeth joins in.

Percy stops laughing and picks up Annabeth's books, ripping the Greek Architecture book out of my hands.

"So, I'll take that as a yes," I turn around.

"Jonathan, I'm married."

What?

"Wait what?" I turn around and look at Annabeth.

Percy has his hand around her waist, daring me to question him.

"Percy and I have been married for 2 years," Annabeth says.

"And three months, 1 week, and 2 days," Percy adds happily.

And with that, the best girl in the world walks away.
