He took off her heels, throwing them away carelessly.

"Go." She weakly pushed him away as her voice cracked. "Find them."

"No." He lifted her head before moving and resting it on his chest -his bloody chest-, him now sitting behind her.

Elijah bit into his palm. "Drink."

And she did.

After taking enough, she pushed his arm away. "Go."

Elijah shook his head.

"She cou- could run." Jasmine informed.

"I don't ca-"

"I will heal." She lied. "When you arrive, I will be fully healed."

Her husband gently lifted her before moving to kneel next to the couch, his hand smoothing her hair away from her face.

He moved his hand to the side of her cheek. "I love you."

She smiled softly at him and rasped out. "I know."

"I'll kill them." He seethed.

"Not yet."

"I love you." He said again.

"I love you too." She gave his palm a soft kiss.

He gave her a kiss on both cheeks and forehead. "I won't take long."

She watched him vamp-speed out of the home.

Jasmine let out a sigh of pain escape her before staring down at the wound in her chest.

It was not even begining to heal.

And Elijah did not come back.

Jasmine let a tear trickled down her cheek as she tried to find her husband by using her magic, which hurt her immensely, but she doesn't care.

But it didn't work.

And usually, when location spells don't work...

Another tear fell down her face.

Her husband is dead.

William angerly fumbled with his keys as his other hand pulled at his hair, making it look dishevelled.

He cursed himself as he replayed the events of the dinner earlier.

"What are you even doing here?" Jenna spat at the taller man.

"I came to a dinner, for which I was invited to-" William grabbed her wrist before it could collide with his cheek again. "You know for a fact that you slapping me is what drew me in the first place."

"Yeah, and then you yapped about being a cat."

"A wolf." William corrected before he let out a sigh, letting go of her wrist. "I wasn't in the right mind back then-"

"And then you stood me up!" Jenna pushed him away. "You stood me up like I was nothing!"

"You were not nothing."
