Barf Bag had just finished up a shift at the hospital, and was going on her lunch break. It had been a busy morning at the hospital for sure, but Barf Bag wouldn't have it any other way.

As Barf Bag entered the bustling cafeteria, she scanned the room until she spotted Donut sitting at a table near the window, waving enthusiastically at her. She made her way over, a smile spreading across her face as she greeted her friend.

"Hey, Donut! How's your morning been?" Barf Bag asked, sliding into the seat across from him.

Donut grinned, taking a sip of his soda. "Oh, you know, the usual chaos at the reception desk. But it's nothing I can't handle."

Barf Bag chuckled, knowing all too well the hectic nature of working in a hospital. "Tell me about it. It's been non-stop in the ER today."

They both shared a knowing look, understanding the challenges and rewards that came with working in the medical field. But now, it was time to relax and enjoy their lunch break together.

"What do you plan on getting," Donut asked.

Barf Bag had an idea, "I think I'm going to go for the soup of the day," Barf Bag replied, glancing over at the cafeteria menu. "It's chicken noodle today, and it sounds perfect on this chilly afternoon."

Donut nodded in agreement. "Good choice! I might go for a sandwich. I've been craving one all morning."

As they discussed their lunch options, Barf Bag couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these – a chance to unwind and connect with her husband amidst the chaos of their demanding jobs.

After placing their orders at the cafeteria counter, Barf Bag and Donut settled back into their seats, enjoying the lively atmosphere of the cafeteria as they waited for their food to arrive.

"So, any plans for the rest of the day?" Barf Bag asked, sipping on her drink.

Donut shrugged. "Not much, just another few hours at the reception desk. But hey, at least it's Friday, right?"

Barf Bag smiled, feeling a sense of relief at the thought of the weekend ahead. "Definitely. I can't wait to unwind and relax."

Donut nodded, "and then we get to enjoy the chaos back at home!"

As they continued to wait for their food, the two got a text in the Team8s group chat from Pin. It wrote, "well this just happened", with a video underneath.

Barf Bag was curious as to what the video was, "here, I'll play it." She went over to Donut and played the video they were sent. Upon watching it, they we're immediately in awe at what they were witnessing.

Barf Bag smiled, "did you see what I just saw!"

Donut nodded his head in agreement, "looks like Thread just took her first steps!"

The two of them we're very happy that Coiny, Pin, and Needle's child had hit such a huge milestone.

As they watched the video again, relishing in the milestone moment, Barf Bag and Donut couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and belonging. Being a part of the Team8s family meant celebrating each other's joys and triumphs, no matter how big or small.

After sharing a few more excited messages in the group chat, Barf Bag and Donut's food arrived, but their appetites were momentarily forgotten as they continued to bask in the happiness of Thread's achievement.

"I'm so glad we got to see that," Barf Bag said, her eyes shining with emotion. "It's moments like these that make everything worth it, isn't it?"

Donut nodded in agreement, his heart overflowing with love for their extended family. "Absolutely. I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world."

Despite them being the only relationship in the household to not have kids of their own, they we're grateful that they got to be in the lives of both Thread and Saw and Gaty's little Bladey, who had just turned two months old.

The two had discussed having kids, especially recently with all of the milestones that have been happening between the two little girls, but they decided that they weren't ready for little ones of their own quite yet.

Barf Bag and Donut exchanged a knowing glance, their hearts filled with a mixture of joy and contentment. They cherished their roles as aunt and uncle to Thread and Bladey, finding fulfillment in being a part of their lives and witnessing their growth and development.

"I love being a part of this family," Barf Bag said, her voice filled with sincerity. "Even though we don't have kids of our own yet, being there for Thread and Bladey brings me so much happiness."

Donut nodded in agreement, reaching across the table to squeeze Barf Bag's hand. "Me too. And when the time is right, we'll know. But for now, let's just enjoy these moments with Thread and Bladey."

As they resumed eating their lunch, Barf Bag and Donut felt a profound sense of gratitude for the love and companionship they shared. They knew that their journey together, both as partners and as members of the Team8s family, was filled with endless possibilities and adventures.

And as they finished their meal and prepared to return to work, Barf Bag and Donut carried with them the warmth and love of their lunchtime conversation, grateful for the simple joys and cherished moments that made life truly meaningful. Together, they faced the future with open hearts and unwavering optimism, knowing that whatever challenges came their way, they would always have each other and their beloved family by their side.
