Chapter 8

It Friday. Lucy has the day off. People will start to show up at her house at 5pm. Lucy is just waking up. It's 8am and Tim had already woken up for work. Lucy gets up and makes herself some coffee. She decides she is gonna visit the station and that she will eat there. She goes into her bathroom. She put on light makeup. She had her hair curly. She put on Blue ripped jeans and a black and white long sleeved shirt. She put her shoes on and drove to the station. She walked into the beanery to see everyone sitting at the table.]

Lucy- "Hey guys"

Vic- "Hey Lucy"

Lucy- "Just wanted to stop by. Say hi."

Travis- "Do you wanna eat here with us."

Lucy- "That's be great"

Maya- "I'm excited about the bonfire tonight."

Lucy- "Me too. When I get back home. I have to start setting the chairs up"

[Andy walked out of he bunk in her regular clothes]

Andy- "Hey guys I have a doctors appointment in an hour, so I will be leaving soon"

Lucy- "Hey after your appointment do you want to come help me set up?"

Andy- "I would love to"

[They chat for 30 minutes]

Andy- "Okay, I have to go now"

Lucy- "Actually, you mind if I tag along?"

Andy- "Sure, why not"

[Andy has an OB appointment but nobody knows except for Lucy. Lucy has driven Tim's truck to the station. Lucy and Andy get into Tim's truck and goes to the appointment.]

[Carina is their OB. After the appointment they had gone to Lucy's house. Andy kept complimenting how beautiful her house is. They start putting chairs around the bonfire. There were going to be at least 18 adults including Tim and Lucy. Plus at least 5 kids. Majority of them being babies. They got a list together and headed to the store for a bunch of food. They got back and started making food. It was now 3pm. Guests would start showing up in 2 hours. They decided they were going to announce their pregnancy's tonight. Dixon still hadn't put 2 and 2 together and figured out that Lucy and Tim were in a relationship. They got the surprise together and sat in the couch to chat for while before people started arriving. The first to arrive were Wesley and Angela. Then Nyla, James and their kids. Everyone had finally arrived except Tim and Dixon. Tim had to finish paperwork and Dixon had gotten lost in the streets near Lucy's house. By 5:30 Tim and Dixon had arrived at the front door. Dixon was confused when Tim opened the door without knocking, but she shook it off. She waited outside instead of going in, but Tim turned around and looked at her.]

Tim- "Are you coming in?"

Dixon- "We didn't knock"

Tim- "I don't have to" he said with a confused look on his face.

Dixon- "Okay" she says as she enters the house behind Tim.

[As everybody went into the back to the bonfire and sat down. Lucy walked out back and ushered Andy to stand up where she was. In clear view of everyone with a confused look on their face as Andy stood up off of Robert's lap and walked toward the front of everyone.]

Travis- "What's going on" he sounded as confused as he looked.

Lucy- "Look we can tell by the look on your faces that you are really confused as to why we are just standing here in front of all of you, but we have a surprise for you all."

Andy- "It was a surprise to us when we found out at well."

Angela- "Are you going to tell us what it is or leave us here confused?"

"We are pregnant" Lucy and Andy simultaneously stated.

[Everybody's jaw dropped leaving their mouths wide open.]

Maya- "I was not expecting that."

Nyla- "Wait so both of you are pregnant?"

Dean- "At the same time?"

Lucy- "Yes"

Angela- "Bradfords gonna be a dad" she said chuckling

[Dixon still sat there confused, but once Tim had jumped up and spun Lucy around kissing her. It all kicked in. Lucy and Tim are in a relationship and having a baby. Robert had gotten up and kissed Andy]

Angela- "There are gonna be a lot of play dates. Between Jack, Zoe, Leah, Leila, Prue, and now these 2 babies. We are all gonna have our hands full."

Nyla- "It'll be so much fun" she said with a huge smile on her face.

[They sit back down. After an hour Lucy and Andy let everyone know that there is food inside that's ready to be eaten. Everyone goes and hangs inside eating for a while. Vic walks over to Dixon]

Vic- "Hey, you look like you could use a friend."

Dixon- "I just don't know anyone that well."

Vic- "Not even any of the cops?"

Dixon- "I'm a rookie. We don't talk unless it's work related."

Vic- "Celina is a rookie and she's like family to all of us. What was your name I didn't catch it."

Dixon- "Carla Dixon. Yea, but Celina has been here longer than I have and she's about to be a P2. I don't even know anything about detective Chen other than she's pregnant."

Vic- "What do you want to know. I can't say much because I don't know what she wants shared but I can try to help you understand her or know her a little. I'm Victoria but everyone calls me Vic."

Dixon- "How long have Bradford and Chen been together?"

Vic- "When you are talking to me about them, you can call them Tim and Lucy. Also they have been together for about 10 months. They started dating in June."

Dixon- "Are they always so mean."

Vic- "I wouldn't say they are mean. I don't want to tell any of her personal life so I will just tell you how I see them in my eyes. They are tough. Lucy is probably the nicest person I know. She loves and cares so much about the people around her. She is really easy to talk to. She is very understanding and empathetic. It's hard to find that these days. Tim is hard on people and can seem like an ass. The only people who can put him in his place are Angela and Lucy. He cares a lot about the family we have all built as friends. Deep down he truly does have a heart."

Dixon- "Thank you. That gave me hope. Hope that one day. I'll be able to get along and be part of this family."

Vic- "Of course."

[Vic walks over to Lucy]

Vic- "Congratulations Lucy"

Lucy- "Thank you"

Vic- "So your rookie talked to me"

Lucy- "What did she say" she asked raising an eyebrow

Vic- "Asked how long you have been together and if you guys are always so mean"

[Lucy started laughing quite hard]

Vic- "Look I told her 10 months. I told her that I didn't want to share about your personal life as it is not my place to, but I just told her how I see you guys."

Lucy- "Thank you"

Vic- "Anytime."

[It's been 5 hours since the bonfire started. It is now 10pm and everyone started to leave. After everyone left Lucy and Tim went to bed.]
