Chapter 15 - Patient

You decided to get your laptop out and do some work, your email inbox was rammed with emails, after around ten minutes Leah walked out in a white top and green shorts, her wet hair was over her shoulder making her top see through meaning you could see the fact she had no bra on. She soon put her hair up in a towel but her t-shirt was still wet, all you could do was stare
"You know starings rude darling"
She said smirking at you
"I'm not staring"
You replied quickly turning back to the email you were about to read, when your phone went off, it was Steph Houghton
"Hiya Steph you alright?"
"I'm fine but it's Gabby"
"What do you mean?"
"She's in hospital Y/n"
Stephs breathing was picking up making you panic even more
"What why?"
You immediately shot out of bed and began pacing leaving Leah confused
"She's been ran over"
Tears filled your eyes and your voice was shakey
"Is she okay?"
She took a minute to reply
"Well, erm, not really she's on life support, she got out of her car and a van drove right into her"
At this point tears were streaming down your face
"I'm gonna go, keep me updated though, please"
"I will do she'll be fine Gabs is strong"
You put the phone down and looked at Leah, she didn't say anything but held her arms out and pulled you into a long hug
"What's happened?"
She whispered into your neck, once again running her fingers through your hair
"Gabby"
You managed to say before bursting out in tears again, Leah didn't rush you, she was patient
"She's been ran over"
Leah tightened her grip on you and picked you up placing you on the bed, the pair of you laid there for a while not saying anything but you felt safe with her.

Leah's POV

After around 30 minutes Y/n fell asleep, I knew she wasn't in a good state of mind so I messaged keira telling her we weren't gonna be at the team bonding we had planned. 20 minutes later I heard a knock on the door so I slipped from under Y/n to answer it, it was Esme.
"Is Y/n okay? Steph just just called me"
She was panicked and speaking really fast
"She fell asleep like half an hour ago, but she's not in a good place I don't think"
Esme peered around my shoulder to see Y/n curled up in our bed, her eyes were puffy and red so it was clear she had been crying.
"I feel so bad, the day before our opening match and her best friend gets ran over, and practically has death knocking on her front door"
She started crying so I brought her into the room and sat her down assuring her everything was gonna be okay, I picked up my phone and messaged Georgia to come as soon as possible

Y/n's POV

I woke up to the door going and seeing Esme in tears
"What's happened?"
You asked as you sat up in bed, you saw Georgia come in and wrap Esme in her arms
"She's just stressed about Gabby that's all"
Leah replied reassuring you that it was fine, your phone went off and Steph had messaged you

Steph - I've taken lola to my place so she's not alone, Gabs is in a coma though so it's not looking like she'll be home anytime soon x

"Gabbys in a coma"
You said swallowing the lump in your throat
"What?"
Esme asked looking you in the eyes for the first time, you could feel the pain both of you were going through
"She'll be okay, Gabby will be strong for yous"
Georgia wiped the tears from Esmes face but she soon got up and left the room
"I'm gonna go to bed"
She said closing the door leaving you, Leah and Georgia together
"I'll go make sure she's okay"
Georgia left chasing after her destraught girlfriend, you got out of bed and looked in the mirror, mascara was down your face, your eyes were irritated
"God I look like I've been dragged through a bush backwards and stung be a bee"
You exclaimed trying to get your mind off of your best friend, Leah came up behind you kissing down your neck
"Still look fit though"
She replied with a mischievous look on her face, you slapped her arm in response
"What did I do?"
She asked smirking as you went bright red, you knew what she was trying to do
"Be patient love"
You kissed her forehead before going to get changed
"Your unbearable sometimes"
She muttered shaking her head, you looked at her smiling
