She was wearing an oversized white shirt, black under armour shorts and Nike slides, her wet hair over her shoulders making her shirt see-through meaning you could see her sports bra under it. You sat and stared at her bright blue eyes before you were brought back to reality
"Something interesting kid?"
Leah said with a smirk on her face
"No just spaced out Williamson"
You said trying to hid the fact you were a nice shade of red, in the process making her giggle. She soon started making a confused look at the bottles on your table
"There my meds in not on hard-core drugs blondie"
You said almost breaking a rib trying not to laugh
"Lord that's alot"
She said almost flustered at the nickname you had given her
"Yeah I know the mountain just keeps getting bigger, doctors surprised I'm still playing"
You said nonchalantly not realising the look of concern on the blondes face as you turned back to your book. There was a knock at the door a few minutes later you both got up at the same time but Leah beat you to the door, it was Lucy.
"Hey you guys coming down for lunch?"
"Erm yeah ill come down in a minute, what about you kid?"
"Oh I'm not really hungry"
You said quickly
"Alright then, suit yourself"
Leah said in a huff, disappointed you weren't joining her. At this point she had dried her hair so she changed shirt, stood in the middle of your room, you couldn't help taking a peak thinking she didn't notice. She walked out with a smug smile. You sighed and sat on the bed, bringing your knees up to your chest, you had a strained relationship with food despite people constantly telling you how skinny you were, in high-school you were told you were overweight even though it had since been proven you were underweight and most of your body mass was muscle. You were slim and pale with dark eyebags, elbow length brown hair and bluey-green eyes. Freckles were spread around your face but even though people said how beautiful you were you never believed it no matter how hard you tried to fight the thoughts. Tears streamed down your face until you head the door click and tried to get rid of any evidence you had been crying, it was Leah.
"You alright kid?"
Leah asked after hearing you sniff and sigh.
"Yeah why wouldn't I be"
You said putting on a fake smile
"Well unless you've been stung by a bee it looks like you've been crying"
"Oh its probably just my hay-fever"
She wasn't buying it but pretended it any walked out after grabbing her phone which she seems to leave everywhere.
"Shit, shit, shit"
You mumbled knowing she was onto you after a few hours of being near each other. Around 30 minutes later Leah walks through the door with a food container and 2 takeaway cups.
"Hey I got you some food and tea, you need to eat, can't have meds on an empty stomach"
It was common knowledge that it wasn't advised to have medication with nothing else in your stomach but you thought it was sweet Leah thought of you.
"Thank you what is it"
You replied taking the tea out of her hand
"Tuna pasta I remember you eating it last camp so I knew you liked it"
Wow Leah Williamson remembered on of your favourite foods that you practically live off at any camps
"Haha thank you surprised you remembered"
You said very flustered
"Of course I remembered you lived off it for 2 weeks"
She said laughing at your flush red face. You sat on the bed and forced yourself to eat at least some of your food, Leah peered over your shoulder making sure you ate something. After around 5 forks you didn't want anymore and put it in the fridge for later, you sipped on your tea and picked up your book.
"What are you reading"
Leah said sitting up and placing her phone down
"Hobbit"
You replied
"OH MY GOD I LOVE HOBBIT!"
She shouted, making you flinch
"Jesus Christ Blondie didn't know you were a geek"
She scoffed like she was offended but at heart you both knew that you were in fact massive geeks. It had hit 6pm and Leah got off the bed to head to dinner
"Come on kid"
She said grasping your book and placing it page down so you didn't lose your page
"Not hungry"
You said trying to grasp your book soon enough Leah picked you up out of bed
"Leah put me down!"
You shouted in a stern tone
"Not until you agree to cone for dinner!"
She replied tightening her grasp on you
"Fine"
You said sighing as she put you down on the ground.
"Come on then"
She said holding your wrist.
