I can't believe that it has been already a whole year at sea...

I think back to the life that I once lived on dry land amongst the Walkers, but I no longer remember anything about it! I do not even remember my own name!

I remember that I once had another name...many names...but I only remember one: Amira.

Who are my mom and dad?

Where did I live again?

I tried to imagine myself as a Walker...with those spindly legs and fragile flesh. I cannot even stomach the idea of being dry!

'What have they done to me?'

I felt around with my tiny hands as I opened my tired eyes. I look within a viscous blue goo and touch what felt like a soft plastic barrier. I turned inside this thing as I used my long golden tail to push at the barrier.

'I need to get out!'

I find that my tiny hands just will not cut it...literally...I need something sharp -- like a tool, or something. The only thing sharp enough were my teeth!

I flipped over as I was laying down. I saw light...a blue glowing light as I think to myself: the crystal satellite, am I inside it!?

I then remembered! I had entered the crystalline satellite upon a full moon, and the power of the ancient Atlantean technology had turned me into a Mizu Mermaid...a mermaid of the Coral Sea. Like a horrific headache, a flood of memories was finally released:

I was with Yuzuki, an adult mermaid, as I was feeling scared and looking for a means to escape this fate!

[Do we have to undergo the hatchling process?] I asked her.

[I think it already began...the very fact that you two are much younger than your previous ages, I would say that the process has already commenced.] Yuzuki tells me. [The egg process seems to occur around the age of nine...but initially, you will still retain much of your memories. Although, many will be only accessible at the last age you learned them.]

I remember feeling horrified. A whole life of experiences and I am reduced to this!?

[Queen Galena said I would be able to return to land once I learned to control my powers...]

[If you were only a hybrid. You're a full fledge mermaid, things are different.] Yuzuki explains and comes over to my side as she continues. [Right now, you two should be learning as much as you can...once the hatchling process is underway, you will find your perspective on your Walker lives quite altered.]

Jenna, another metamorphosed Walker poses a serious question...

[It is already quite altered. And once we become hatchlings, then what? Who becomes our parents?]

[Mermaids do not have individual parents; you will have the pod. They are, and always will be, your family. You will have to learn to comply with whatever the mermaid council tells you...even if it goes against your own Walker ideologies.]

My memories flash to the moment when I was taken to the sandy shores off Mizu Island as I was enchanted, encased in bubbles. I could feel myself changing, becoming smaller as I regressed in age.
