Cage

9 1 0

The cage that

Has hold me

Will never open.

The chains around

My wrists and ankles

Tighten more.

My throat is dry

From all the

Horrific screaming.

My eyes threaten to

Close to the never

Ending nightmares.

Reality has been blurred

As the darkness

Blanketed over me.

I've given up the

Fight for freedom,

For it's only a dream.

I'm all alone here,

But I'm already

Accustomed to it.

Any pain that would

Remain is erased

And numbed from me.

Any smile or any

Optimism have

Disappeared over the years.

What is there to look

Forward to when

This cage is my life?
