Epilogue (2)

ALLI'S VIEWPOINT

2 years later...

The first glance I saw him at the waiting area, I ran to him immediately.

"Woah!" he reacted when I hugged him tightly.

"How's Singapore?" tanong niya.

"I missed you."

"I asked you how was your Singaporean trip and you'll answer you miss me?" he joked.

I glared at him as I pulled back and said, "You never missed me, douchebag, did you?"

"I did miss you, Therese," he says as he pulls me in and gives me a peck on my forehead.

"Let's drive you home. They threw a little homecoming celebration for you," he says.

"They should be. They sent me to some place to stay there for a month! How could they do that to me?!" I protested as Luke gets my luggage.

After graduating Architecture and passing the board examination, my parents decided to give me a little break. They bought an all-expense paid trip for me in Singapore. And the trip is just for me. They said that I did well on my studies and that I should get a break.

Of course, pumalag ako. I'd rather be in the Philippines working hard and be with them rather than go in one of the nicest places in the world such as Singapore and travel there alone.

Pero siyempre naman, mahal din daw yung binayad nila so in the end, I went there all alone. Walang communication from them since I had no mobile data nor roaming sims to use. My alone time at first was depressing, I just stayed at the first whole week in the hotel room, watching the television with just the local channels.

But I got used to it and went to such places like Resorts World Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore, travelled all day through their convenient transportation such as the LRT which got me to Orchard Road, where I met tons of Filipinos.

To sum it all up, I certainly loved it there.

Meanwhile, Luke was giving me some news what happened when I was gone.

"Enzo was completely enjoying your house, by the way," he finishes.

I turned my head at him and grunted. "Pinaalala mo pa!" Tinawanan lang ako ng mokong. Ugh.

Bago ako umalis for SG, Kuya Enzo and I had a bet about who is going to win the NBA Finals: the Golden State Warriors or the Cleveland Cavaliers. Of course, I chose LeBron James' team, the Cavaliers while Kuya Enzo goes for the Warriors.

If the Warriors win, he gets the house Dad gave me which I lived in for my college life. In exchange, if my team loses, I get their condominium unit.

At 'pag minamalas ka naman, GSW won. I freaking lose a house just because of a bet. Of course, Kuya Enzo will enjoy it. The house was just beyond enormous. Ugh.

"Are you ready for a buffet?" he asks as he starts the engine.

"I would never say 'no' on food," I said as I smiled like a fool.

(A/N. Sorry talaga. I can't help put notes.

The protagonist's side is on Cavaliers but I'm on Warriors! Hahahahaha! Congratulations pa din sa kanila. Woo, 'di kasi ako maka-get over. Mehehe, too much of Curry. <3 Lolkbye.)

The moment I stepped out of Luke's car, Ate Elle rushed to greet me and gave me a tight hug. "I missed you, dear. Wala akong kasama sa pagbu-bookhunting!"
