Amara Adams never wanted to be a demigod. She didn't even know what they were until age nine when her mother—a woman who always refused to care for her child—told her the reason why her father wasn't in her life. He was a greek God from the myths she'd learned about in school.
Only a few months before her tenth birthday, Amara came home to find an eviction notice taped to the front door of their apartment and her mother was gone.
