love as in the dirt on grass
as in the colored pencil marks on a knife
as in my blood in yours
as in i learnt to be a person for you and you-
you don't even know it.
love as in i know your favorite animal
and you know nothing about me
love as in you look at me when i am seen
not when i am to be admired
love as in the mud on the pigs snout
or braids in a horses hair
love as in the yip of a coyote out your window
love as in you complaining about it.
love as in i love you but i don't really
love as in i don't think you know me but
you can't live without me.
love as in the love i hold for a god who does not answer love as in i miss you and you're right there.
love as in the lack there of.
love as in my teeth and your skin and love as in
the blood we both tasted.
love as in i don't love you.
