Life Outside of Baseball Carolina has some very hidden life obstacles that she has had to face. I am so grateful that the world recognized her accomplishments in baseball and in her career. Carolina is the strongest human being in many ways. I was very happy to learn that she joined the MLB organization as a head athletic trainer and I as a baseball player at about the same time. A few years passed, we started playing against each other, and in the middle of that year she was named the first female player in Major League Baseball. Then I signed with the Dodgers to accompany her and travel next to her for 10 years.
