Never in her wildest dreams would she have envisioned the serene tranquility of that morning transforming into the nightmare it became. On such occasions, she find myself regretting her latest choices; Can one really fault me? She thought. When the suspicion started, we were blindsided by the whole research process. Being hunted for possessing what they were looking for was not easy. The point of no return had been crossed when they caught her on their surveillance cameras. Her only option was to run, to anywhere far from their reach. They could be anywhere, anytime.

No amount of training as a werewolf, or even training at the Assassins Anonymous Order1 (AAO1), had prepared her for that level of chaos. She wanted the comfort of their meticulously planned operations, where everything was in its rightful place and was planned calmly. She hated the disorder her world had devolved into.

When she arrived at the airport, it became clear how serious the situation was. They were already there, waiting like bloodhounds on a scent. The only option left was to run, and fast. Saving anyone else, even her best friend Pearl. She felt an overwhelming sense of worry as she held the research in her hands. Pearl was their only beacon of hope. She was safe, blessed with the status of being an Alpha and a high-ranking council official. The idea of her leaving us was unsettling, but if she were in her position, the idea of starting would cross her mind too;

Sierra longed for a brief moment of rest, especially considering her injured condition. She needed to change the bandages on her shoulder. But time was a luxury she couldn't afford. Her only hope was to get out of that airport undetected and drive to somewhere safe, if there was a place like that given the circumstances

Leaving them behind was not easy at all she could see from far Pearl talking to some of them, her face full of concern. Anxiety had her glued to her phone, searching for any trace of them — a smoke signal, a bank transaction, an odd caller ID. Pearl had to send her something. Anything.

Her last check on our private server revealed the grim reality— I was the only one who had made it out

And only if she knew.
