I CROUCHED DOWN beside a wall, the others quick behind me. the sound of sirens slowly quietened.
'how far are the tunnels?' thomas asked.
'uh maybe 12 blocks from here.' gally replied.
i wish i could teleport.
newt let out a cough which made us all glance over to him.
'we can make it.' gally said.
'this could be so much easier if i could apperate because then i could get us out of here.' i said to gally and thomas.
'apperate?' thomas asked.
'it's basically teleporting.' i explain. 'we only get taught how to do it in seventh year.'
thomas nodded.
'hey.' minho said from behind me. 'how long has he been like this?'
i looked over to thomas also wanting the answer.
'he'll be ok.' thomas said, ignoring the question. 'we just need to get him to brenda.'
thomas walked over to newt and helped him up. newt tripped and thomas quickly grabbed him. 'woah woah woah. you ok?'
'yeah.'
i shuffled over to the wall newt was just at, and sat against it. i closed my eyes trying to block out the noise around me.
after a minute a felt someone next to me. i opened my eyes and looked over.
'hey.' minho said, giving me a soft smile.
oh how i missed him.
'hi.' i replied. 'you ok?'
he nodded in reply. 'i missed you. a lot.' he said talking ahold of my hand and bringing it onto his lap.
'i missed you too.'
ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ
a loud explosion rang out through the air. i could see fire strike out from the corner of my eye.
'they were supposed to take down wicked, not the whole damn city.' gally said.
a siren started blaring out.
'gally come on.' thomas said and he and minho pulled newt away.
gally didn't follow after. 'come on.' i said gently pulling on his arm.
we both followed after the trio as they ran through the city.
ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ
'tunnels are right up ahead.' gally said as we walked past a corner. 'stay low.'
we all ducked down behind some plants.
sirens and vechiles where sounding right behind us. ok there is no way we are getting out of this.
i felt minho squeeze my hand in reassurance.
'get ready.' guards yelled.
'what are they waiting for?' minho asked.
before someone could reply an explosion sounded behind. yells rang out and a big group of people ran forward.
guns fired out and more explosions went of.
'stay down.'
no shit.
i placed my hands on my ears and held my breathe. i imagined that i was at home, with my brother, drinking a nice cup of butterbeer. no guns. no fire. no death.
'we gotta go, we gotta go.'
i slowly got to my feet. still crouched down so i wouldn't be spotted. thomas and minho pulled newt up. we quickly ran away from the fight and into a broken building.
thomas yelled into a walkie talkie, 'brenda you there?'
'thomas i'm here.'
'we're not going to make it.' thomas said. i stared at him. hearing it outloud has now made me realise that any hope of getting out, is long gone.
'what are you talking about?'
'just take the others.' thomas said, 'get everyone out while you still can.'
'no.'
'brenda.'
'i'm not leaving you. okay. so forget it.'
ok i feel like i'm walking in on something.
i walked over to the others. 'you ok newt?' he gave me a small smile. 'can't i just help you? please?'
'no, via, no.' he said, shakely.
'what are you talking about?' thomas said, catching our attention.
'our rides here. just look for us near the tunnels.'
