4 - Know You better

It was getting late in the hood but all that meant was that all the grown folks would be out and all the kids would be in

"Let's walk to the L" Bre said

I guess we were having a girls night at Bre's cause I don't feel like being home alone tonight

I got up grabbing my Cardigan . It's the end of the summer/fall so in Boston it gets chilly at night .

I also grabbed my Michael Kors bag and me and Bre walked down the stinky ass project hallways but it wasn't a far walk because the L is literally across the street

Just as we were about to walk in the store a horn beeped behind us . It was Chris & Harlem in the front and other niggas in the back .

Bre leaned over in the window of the passenger side talking to Chris while I stood on the side .

I could see Harlem eyeing me but I acted as if I didn't .

"Ayo listen bae I'm throwing a little cook out tonight , me and my niggas so you should bring your little squad and shit" Chris said to Bre biting on his bottom lip

"Your spot ?" She said

"Yeah , you know the spot just come through , drinks and food . Something lowkey" he said quickly checking his phone and dismissing it to look at her again

"Aight" she said but when she got up and turned around to walk in the store again he smacked her ass

She smirked then laughed

"It's all love" he yelled out the window as he drove off .

We walked in the L and got some Remy , Ciroc , and Svedka before we called the girls telling them the plans .

We went back to the house and showered and changed , I guess everybody had someone they was trying to impress tonight ..... Except me

But I still changed cause I always carry a extra change of clothes , plus I was in the same clothes that I was hot as fuck in earlier

I put on my short tan romper with my cardigan and kept my Neiman Marcus sandals on .

Me , Bre , Symone and Sasha got in Symones car and were there maybe 2 hours after we received the invitation lol

Chris lived in a nice town house in Roxbury ( A Part In Boston ) , nice backyard and everything .

Between them and us it was prolly 12-15 people so it wasn't a turnt thing , it was cool vibes.

We had music playing over the back porch , Twigz on the grill and everybody at the two patio table sets either playing spades or dominos .

"Jewels c'mere" I heard as Kdoe dealt cards out to Rizz , Symone , CJ & himself

I looked back as my bangs swooped out the ways of my eyes and seen Harlem sitting on the wooden porch steps patting the side beside him .

He looked relaxed

I don't think anybody noticed him even calling me over the laughter and talking .

I got up and went to sit beside him .

"So you got a man shorty ?"

He keep calling me shorty

I shook my head "nope" I said popping the P

"Oh that's good" he said taking a sip of Ciroc mixed with pineapple juice out of the clear plastic cup

"Why is that's good?" I said poking one of my eyebrows up looking at him
