After that Fakhir directly went to his room. He was feeling miserable. Not understanding how to handle the situation. Thankfully he didn't have any classes or work so he didn't have to worry about that.

Few hrs later
Saad returned home and found Fakhir sleeping, which was odd for him but he didn't mind that much. Then Annie called saad.

Annie: Saad lunch ban gaya hai aa jao dono.
Saad lunch is ready come please

Saad: haan hum aate hain.
Yeah we are coming

Saad then went to wake up but he didn't budge so Saad decided to let him sleep more. And went to Annie's place.

Annie: Fakhir nhi aaya?
Fakhir didn't come?

Saad: vi so rha hai toh maine disturb nhi kiya.
He is sleeping so I didn't disturb him.

Annie: arey usne breakfast bhi theek se nhi kiya tha, ruko mai uthake laati hu tab tk tum khana shuru kro.
He didn't even have the breakfast properly, wait I'll go get him.

Annie then went to their apartment and into Fakhir's room. Going near his sleeping form.

Annie: Fakhir?? Fakhir khane ka waqt ho gaya hai uth jao.. Fakhir!!
Fakhir! Fakhir get up it's lunch time...

She then touched his forehead and she realised he had high fever... she quickly went to the kitchen. Got a bowl of cold water and a hanky to do his cold strips.
She called up Saad and told him to bring some food for Fakhir.

Saad: Annie ye lo Fakhir ka khana. Mai khila deta lekin meri shift hai mujhe der ho rhi hai. Mujhe nikalna padega...
Annie here it's Fakhir's food, I would have fed him bit i am getting late for my shift I would have to leave

Annie: koi baat nhi mai khila dungi..
It's okay I will feed him

After 10 mins of Cold strips Annie again called Fakhir's name and this time he opened his eyes. And was shocked to see Annie so close to him.

Fakhir: Annie tum yahan? Kya hua sab theek hai na?

Annie: tum ye mujhse pooch rhe ho? Tumhara dimaag toh kharab nhi hua? Khudko 102• ka bhukhaar hai or mujhse pooch rhe ho kya hua?

Fakhir: pta nhi kab aankh lag gyi or kab bukhar aagaya.
I don't know when did I fell asleep

Annie: tumhara dhyaan hota kahan hain? Abhi agar mai check krne naa ati toh? Dhyaan rakhna chahie na fakhir. ( annie said all this in flow)
I mean take care mai humesha nhi rahungi.
Why are u so careless? Had I not come to check on you then?? Take care of yourself. I meant I wont always be there.

Fakhir: (furrowing his brows) kyun kahan ja rhi ho? Ab toh tum yhi ho?

Annie: zindagi bhar toh tumhare saath nhi rahungi na Fakhir. Kabhi na kabhi toh jana hi padega. (Gazing into his eye). Acha khana khalo phir dawai leke so jana. (Looking away)
I am not gonna be with you for life. Someday i have to go. Anyways ear your food now then take the meds and sleep

Fakhir felt extremely uneasy when Annie said those words. All he wanted was to tell her that she is gonna be by his side forever, but he knew it wasn't possible.
That's when Fakhir's phone rang and he saw his mother's number on his caller id.

Fakhir: amma ka call hai kya kare?
Mom has called. What to do?

Annie: uthalo kabhi na kbhi toh unhe pata chalna hi tha.

Annie tum bachpan se meri best friend rahi ho or mai tumse vo rishta wapis jodna chahta hua. Vada krta hu kabhi nhi todunga.

I know divorce was our mutual decision but after that I didn't keep any contact with you and that was my biggest mistake. You were my childhood best friend and I want that friendship back. I promise I won't hurt you anymore.

Annie: (after being silent for a while) Dekho Fakhir maine bachpan se hi apne abba jaise aadmi ko dekha hai, mana bade abbu bohot ache hai par rok tok toh unhone bhi ki na, mere abba ne toh mujhe bas ek bojh samajh ke rakha tha. Tum mere dost the, par shaadi ke baad mai tumhaare liye bhi bojh hi ban gyi thi. Jab mai london aayi maine tabhi decide krliya tha ab zindagi mai kisi pe bhi depend nhi krungi.
See Fakhir since childhood I have seen men like my father, i agree bade abbu is good but he still had restrictions over us. I was just a burden for my father. U were my friend and after marriage I became a burden for you too. When I came to London I decided not to ever depend on anyone ever.

Fakhir: Annie pehli baat toh tum mujhe kabhi bojh nhi thi, humara rishta vo shaadi jiske liye hum ready nhi the vo bojh tha or mai jaanta hu mai better tarike se handle kr skta tha cheeze par nhi kr paya. But ab ek mauka toh dedo. Please 🙏.
First thing first Annie you were never a burden for me. Our marriage which we weren't ready for was a burden. I could have handled things better but I did too. But please gimme a chance.

Annie:(after thinking for a while) theeke par fakhir is baat mera yakeen mat todna. Kyunki iss baar mai toot jaungi.
