Gossip Girl

Have you heard, Upper East Siders? Burlesque is all the rage again. And sometimes a little raging is exactly what you need.

I'm woken up very early this morning by Willow crying. "What's wrong baby?" I ask picking her up from her crib and holding her close to my chest. She buries her head into my shoulder as I smooth her head trying to calm her down. She settles down and I take her to the kitchen to make her breakfast. She's 7 months old now so I have just started trying to feed her solid food today being strips of toast and some raspberries for breakfast. Whilst Willow is eating I get a text from Nate saying that he needs to talk to me at school I wonder what that could be about.

After Willow finishes her breakfast I clean up and then start getting ready for school. I get my uniform on and then do my hair in a low ponytail with a ribbon in it. I'm ready to leave so I grab my bag and say goodbye to Willow and my mom. I get into our car that is waiting in front of the hotel which takes me to school and I have a look on my phone.

Spotted: Serena and Not-So-Lonely Boy clearly past courtship in the courtyard.

There is a picture attached of Serena and Dan making out by the steps at school. I smile and roll my eyes at their lovey-dovey relationship. Once I arrive at school I thank the driver as I leave the car and see Nate walking through the gates. "Nate!" I call out trying to get his attention. He turns and smiles at me as I walk towards him. "Hey, what did you need to talk about?" I ask him. "Well, do you remember the drugs that I found in my dad's office?" He questions. I nod. "So, my mom has now also found the drugs and my dad has blamed it all on me." He sighs. "What?! So what's going to happen now?" I ask him frantically. "I'm not really sure. My mom was talking about rehabilitation centres and 'getting the help I need'." Nate answers as he mocks his mom and puts air quotes around his last comment. "Well, I'm sorry this is all happening right now." I say as I give him a hug. "It's fine but I need to get to class soon so I will talk to you later. There is something else I want to ask you about." Nate says as he walks away over to the St Jude's entrance. I wonder what he wants to ask about now.

Nate's POV

"Oh. Evangeline, right?" I joke as I bump into Jenny in the hallway. "Uh- that's funny." Jenny replies. "Mm. Not really, no." I shake my head. "No. What are you doing in the girls hall?" Jenny asks me. "I was actually looking for you." I confess beginning to walk as we continue our conversation reaching the bench outside taking a seat, "I didn't mean anything I said about having feelings for Eva." "Maybe you didn't. I just- - I mean, I don't even care, but other people might." Jenny informs me. "Yeah, I know." I sigh as I pull out the box of chocolates from my bag offering to her. "You brought me chocolates?" She questions. "Well, I know you care about being friends with Blair. And I'm with Blair, I just really need you to help me out here. You promise?" I ask her. "Promise what?" Blair asks me as she sits down next to me making me jump in surprise. "Uh- promise to help me come up with a more creative apology than these. I'm sorry for taking you for granted lately." I make up as I hand her the box of chocolates. "That is so sweet. You know, I prefer the Gold Collection, but thank you." Blair says as she kisses me on the cheek. Jenny gets up and begins to walk away and Blair gets up to follow her. I watch as they talk and then Blair turns back to me coming to sit back down.

Jenny Humphrey's rise to the penthouse has been short and sweet. But if she crosses Blair Waldorf, it's straight back to the basement. Looks like this little lamb needs to stay silent or else...

Evangeline's POV
It's lunchtime at school and I'm trying to find Nate to see what he wants to ask  about. "Oh, hey." I say as I spot him sat on a bench outside and I walk over to sit beside him. "Hi, we need to talk about something." Nate begins, " I have been having some confusing feelings recently to do with us and my role in Willow's life." "Ok... what kind of feelings?" I enquire. "Well, I really want to be more present in Willow's life. For example, maybe I could look after her one evening every week or even a whole day on the weekends." He suggests. "I think that would be nice for all three of us, it gives you two bonding time and gives me some free time. But, just warning you now, she's hard work. Our daughter is very high maintenance." I tell him as we both laugh together. "Just like her mother." He smirks. "Well that's sorted now. Was there anything else?" I ask him. "Ummm- Well- No it's nothing." He mutters. "Ok then, if you're sure, I'm gonna get going." I tell him as we both stand up. He gives me a warm embrace as we say a brief goodbye. There's an incredible feeling that I get when I'm around Nate that I just can't explain but whilst he's still with Blair I must keep all of these feelings to myself.

School is finally over for the day and I make my way back to the hotel. As soon as I'm through the doors I can hear Willow crying so I rush into the living room to see my mom trying to calm her down. "Hey, what's going on?" I ask my mom. "I'm not sure. She's being crying for about half an hour now and nothing I'm doing is making her stop. I fed her, burped her, changed her and even gave her a teething ring in case that was the problem but nothing has seemed to help." She frantically informs me as she is handing her over to me. I take her in my arms and gently bounce her and stroke her back in attempts to comfort her. Her cries soften and eventually stop as she starts to drift off to sleep in my arms. "She's really tired herself out with all that crying." I whisper. I stroke her face and as my hand brushes against her forehead I feel a warmth radiating off of it.  "I think she might be getting sick." I tell my mom as she reaches over to feel her head too. "Oh no I think she is. Would you like me to go to the pharmacy and grab some medication for her." She offers. "That would be great thanks." I say gratefully. So she puts on her coat and leaves to go the pharmacy.

A few moments after mom left, I get a phone call. I pick up my phone and see that it's Nate so I answer it. "Hey, is everything okay?" I ask as I put my phone by my ear. "Um- I'm not sure." He stutters. "Nate, what's wrong? You're scaring me now." I tell him. "Well, I think me and Blair just broke up." He blurts out. "You broke up?!" I say shocked. I never expected Nate and Blair to break up. I thought they were going to be together forever but honestly I'm kind of relieved in some ways as this means that I have a chance with Nate now. "Oh, and the police have arrested my dad." He continues. "What because of the drugs?" I question. "Well, apparently he is also being charged with embezzlement and fraud as well." He sighs. "Nate- I'm really sorry." I say sympathetically. "I need to go now but I will talk to you soon, okay?" He tells me. "Of course. Bye." I reply as I hang up the phone. Just then mom returns with Willow's medication, "They said this one should be best for her to get her fever under control." She hands me a box with a small child on the front and I get the bottle and the syringe from inside of it. I get the correct amount in the syringe and give it to her. "I'm going to get her ready for bed now and then go to sleep myself too." I tell my mom as I stand and go towards my room. "Goodnight, sweetheart." She calls after me just before I reach my room and go inside. I place a sleeping Willow on my bed and change her for bed and then place her in her crib. After that I do my night routine and go to bed.
