The man trudged up to the building, his short grayish black hair flowing in the breeze. His skin was smooth and pale. His eyes were a dull teal color, while he had a neutral expression on his face. The sky was dark, with stars radiating exuberance. It was late, but that was necessary. As he approached the gate, he was stopped by a guard in front of the building inside a post. "State the code name given to you." The guard said. The man took out a number tag, and held it up, tilting it to show the guard what was on it. Listed on the tag were the numbers 9637. The guard disappeared into his post.

A few seconds after, the gate groaned as it parted ways, indicating that the man was able to enter. Nodding to the guard in thanks, he entered the gate and towards the building. Over the entrance were big white letters that read Chromatic Laboratories. The most advanced organization in human and inhuman society. This building was its main headquarters, founded here in Abstract City. The man entered through the door and was greeted by a man wearing a dark green lab coat. He was an older man, with a white beard and bald head. He introduced himself as the head scientist Dr. Asimo, code name 8431, and began to explain the scenario.

"While you are in this building, you'll be referred to as your code name. It's a simple formality that has been established for all the scientists specifically in the building. However, you can call me by my name, or code variant." 9637 nodded in understanding before speaking. "I see, and I presume those who aren't scientists use their normal names?" 8431 nodded. "Everyone in this building knows what goes on, and what we do here. From the janitors to the cooks. However, it is strictly confidential, which leads to my next piece of information. You are to tell nobody outside of this circle about what goes on in this lab, is that clear?" 9637 nodded. 8431 led them down another hallway towards a set of stairs. "On the application, your name is Tamsin, if I'm correct?" 9637 nodded.

"Correct, though, I am used to Mr. T because of my–"

"Experience as a science teacher?" 8431 finished for him.

9637 nodded. 8431 chuckled. "Mr. T. Honestly, it has a nice ring to it. Well then, I would like to introduce you to my two co-scientists." He opened the door at the top of the stairs to another room. Inside, two people in lab coats were lounging around. One in a darker white coat was typing away on a computer, with a bagel in his mouth. He looked pretty young and radiated vibrancy. His hair was long and jet black, while the front piece was dyed a golden yellowish tint. His eyes were the same color, just as vibrant. The other individual however had on a red lab coat, also with jet black hair, albeit, shorter. His eyes were a crimson color, and he was sitting on a couch reading a magazine. 9637 stared at the two intrigued.

8431 cleared his throat, to get the two individuals' attention. The vibrant boy muttered something that sounded like some rude remark while the other lowered his magazine and looked in the two's direction.

"This the new rookie?" The red one said. 8431 nodded as the other individual turned around in his spinning chair. He finished his bagel, smirking. "Sweet! We finally got another scientist round here." The boy grinned as he bounced up off his seat, making his way over. "The names Aiko, or 5554. I assume you know the drill, and which to call me." 8431 chuckled, turning to 9637. "Aiko here is a prodigy. Regarded as the boy genius. He first joined us at 14. He is 17 now, specializing in computer technology." Tamsin and Aiko shook hands. "Tamsin. Or as I'm called now, 9637." Aiko whistled. "Your code name sounds cooler somehow, and I don't know why."

The red coated man walked over, his hands in his pockets. "My name is Zero. 1245 is my code name." The two also shook hands. 8431 clamped his hands together, smiling. "5554, 1245. You two are going to help 9637 get situated and show him the ropes. Show him the item we found as well. The laboratory's main focus." The two scientists nodded as 8431 left the room. Aiko sat back down in his chair, facing Tamsin. "You know, it's an honor to be able to work with us, man. It's been ages since we had others in our circle. What's your specialty?" Tamsin put his hand on his chin, rubbing it. "I dabbled in the field of quantum physics quite a lot. I am also exceptional at computer science, though I'm assuredly not better than you." Aiko smirked, probably in pride. Zero crossed his arms, giving 9637 a meager look. "Well, we're supposed to show you the ropes. I'll show you around myself, since I presume, Aiko has work to do." Aiko shrugged. "You're not wrong. I still have a lot of coding to do for this tech I'm working on." Aiko turned back to his computer screen and began typing away once more. Zero turned to Tamsin and beckoned for him to follow.
