In a frantic hurry, she hastily gathered her personal belongings - her phone, computer, and purse - and swiftly rose from her seat. With a swift motion, she unlocked the electronic door using her fingerprint, determined to avoid any unnecessary social interactions and remain unnoticed. As she entered the room, her disheveled blonde hair mirrored the inner turmoil that plagued her. Overwhelmed by the vast amount of information they had accessed regarding experiments involving the werewolf gene, she felt utterly lost and uncertain of her next move. The council had not granted them authorization to proceed with the project, yet Pearl and Sierra, consumed by fear, were too afraid to halt their progress. Dr. Dane, a brilliant scientist whom Pearl held unwavering trust in, was at the head of this newfound research.

As she approached the door to her best friend's office, an unsettling emotion washed over her, filling her with unease. Suddenly, a deafening explosion erupted from within the office, violently propelling her several meters away. Despite having injuries, she swiftly regained her footing, relying on her extensive assassin training. Her immediate instinct was to assist the wounded and terrified individuals surrounding her. Although she knew Pearl was not present in the office, an unshakable feeling lingered, suggesting that the explosion had been intended for her. The source of this danger remained elusive, leaving her feeling nauseated and vulnerable.

She had long suspected the presence of a spy within their operation and had fervently begged Pearl to make changes on the security personnel, but her concerns had been brushed off as mere paranoia. Despite her own discomfort and injuries, she managed to guide the majority of people to safety within a nearby bunker. It was at the entrance of this refuge that she unexpectedly encountered Ethan, one of their most skilled guards. Without uttering a single word, he discreetly handed her a small piece of paper, further deepening the mystery surrounding their dangerous situation.

Overwhelmed by restlessness and impatience, she cast a quick glance into Ethan's eyes, silently urging him to reveal the secrets concealed within the note. Unable to bear the suspense any longer, she swiftly moved aside, seeking refuge under the protective canopy of a majestic, towering tree. Fully aware that her hiding spot would only be detectable by the keen senses of high-ranking wolves or skilled trackers, she nervously unfolded the delicate paper, her heart pounding in anticipation. With trembling hands, she delved into the depths of its contents, immersing herself in the words that held the key to the mystery of what has happened.

" The spy is closer than we thought, meet me at room 189. We don't know who to trust. There you will find coordinates to the place we are going to meet to discuss further actions. Doc is already at the plane. Check the data. If it has been corrupted, you know what must be done.

Be careful, P."

Driven by instinct, she sprinted towards room 189, acutely aware of the gravity behind those words. Time had slipped away, and if the spy had infiltrated their system, she would have to eliminate all traces of their project - an endeavor that had been dismissed and disregarded for months. Their once impenetrable security had been compromised. With trepidation, she cautiously entered the room, only to be met with disbelief as her eyes fixated on a meticulously placed crimson round mark adorning the computer screen. Shaking off the shock, she delved into the system, verifying what she already knew deep down. They had been found. The anonymous group they had tirelessly fought to dismantle now held the upper hand, the group had a goal of unmasking the identities responsible for the genes research, ignoring all of their work and efforts the group were describing the whole research as abominable experiments . This did not sit well with her. As Sierra sat at the computer, her fingers moved swiftly across the keyboard, entering the code that would erase the entire system. However, just as she was about to execute the command, a pop-up appeared on the screen, questioning whether she wanted to send the data to a private server. Sierra knew that Pearl, her partner and the head in this operation, intended for her to erase everything, leaving them with only half of the valuable data. But Sierra couldn't bear the thought of losing all the hard work they had put into this project and all of the lives that could be impacted by that action. Years of work and study.

Thinking quickly, Sierra grabbed an external hard drive and swiftly saved all the important files before proceeding with the deletion. With a sense of urgency, she made her way to a side room where she accessed a screen and entered a specific code. This code would render all devices, computers, and phones useless, as it targeted the crucial components responsible for storage destroying it. It was a drastic measure, but Sierra was determined to protect their work from falling into the wrong hands.

As the reality of the situation sank in, Sierra couldn't help but feel a surge of anger. She blamed no one but herself for allowing things to escalate to this point. Suddenly, a voice called out her name, interrupting her thoughts. It was Ellen and Harper, two of her friends who seemed puzzled by the chaos that had unfolded in Pearl's office. Sierra hastily shouted back, apologizing for her rushed demeanor, before continuing on her way.

Reaching the garage, Sierra quickly climbed into a sleek black Mercedes. Glancing at her phone, she entered the coordinates for their private server and started driving. Despite her training as an assassin, Sierra had never encountered a situation quite like this. She was painfully aware that by leaving her friends behind, she was essentially delivering them into the hands of the enemy. The guilt weighed heavily on her conscience, and she couldn't forgive herself for the consequences her actions had brought upon them. Sierra knew that Pearl would undoubtedly return with heightened security measures, but she also knew that it was her responsibility to rectify the situation. If only she had communicated with Pearl earlier, sharing the knowledge she possessed, perhaps they wouldn't have had to face such a horrible separation.

She was eagerly anticipating reaching her destination so she could meet up with Pearl and devise a plan to conceal the data she had supposedly deleted. Due to road closures, she had to take a longer route, which she suspected was a means of monitoring those who passed through. Overwhelmed by fear and concern, she pressed down on the accelerator and drove as quickly as possible.

She had to run and fast.
