No.23 The Truth

As Staple was now what felt like drowning in a river to where she could breathe, she was given visions, visions of memories that happened in the past with every moment she shared with Wukong.

Wukong riding on a cloud over the city, his eyes drifted down for a second, but he stopped in his tracks and looked down again. His widened to see familiar pink hair and pink bunny ears, he couldn't help but tear up. Could it really be her?

"You don't happen to be MKs mentor, the Monkie King, right?" She asked. Wukong was saddened, she was right, she doesn't remember, or more like she doesn't know. He had to play it cool and smiled again.

"Um, It's Staple. Sounds odd I know, but hey, I didn't choose it" He lit up once she revealed her name, he truly did find her again.

The moment he saw The Spider Queen have Staple in hand he panicked, he tried to hold back but he snapped out his worry "LET HER GO NOW!!" And even when she was sent flying he panicked even when he knew she would easily recover from it.

When he saw the damage done in Flower Fruit Mountain, he naturally wondered what happened. But the moment one of his monkeys spoke of a pink bunny being here. He couldn't help but run, he had to see her, see if she was okay.

Wukong wandered into the room, and saw the sleeping Staple, her blanket was down to her waist so her scars were exposed. He ran his fingers across her bangs as she's slept "I see my bunny fell asleep" he whispered in order to not wake her up "Sleep well my beloved Staple"

"Oh! Uh Wukong, Um you didn't uh......see me sleep at night, right?" Wukong knew what she meant, 'You didn't see my scars, right?' Wukong knew how she would respond if he said he did "No? I didn't see you at all last night. Why?"

"I need to tell you something, but you can't tell Staple about this?" MK tilted his head, Wukong sighed "You know about my adventures of Journey to the West, right?" he asked, MK nodded "It doesn't tell everything, because I met Staple in the past, and I fell for her in those times we spent"

Staple stood up, she stumbled in her in her steps. She looks in front of her to see "Wukong" Staple called in surprise, She wobbled over to Wukong and she cupped his face "You knew who I was the whole time, didn't you?" She asked in a gentle tone, he nodded "And you've been waiting to see me again all these years?" She asked once again, he leaned his head into her touch and placed his hand over hers, he nodded again.

"I wanted to tell you for a while but..." Wukong let out a little chuckle "It wouldn't make sense if I did" Staple gave a gentle smile, then she wondered "How long was I gone?" she asked, "Only for 3 minutes" Staple then gave a small chuckle as well.

Wukong slightly smiled, he placed his hand down his shirt and revealed the bunny shaped jade necklace. Staple widened her eyes in surprise "You... you still-" Wukong nodded "Never took it off ever since you gave it to me" he explained.

Staple looked at his eyes, and he looked back at hers. He wrapped his arms around her waist and gently pulled her closer "I was more than determined to find you again" he in a low whisper. Staple kept her smile "Well..." she moved her hands from his face to his shoulders "I'm here now" she spoke sweetly.

They start inching closer to each other, their eyes slowly closing. Only one inch away from each other "Guys!?" The hear someone call, they look at the other direction and they see Reb walk towards them "There you two are! Hm, and I see you go Staple back to normal" she said.

Wukong nodded "Now we need to get out of here" Reb hurriedly said, Staple then stepped in "Wait! We can't leave just yet!" she lightly shouted, Reb tilted her head confused "Theres something here that will get rid of my cannibalism. We need to find it and inject it in me before we leave" she explained.

Reb looked at her in shock, Wukong gently held her hand and Staple turned to look at him "Are you sure you want to go through that Staple?" he asked. Staple sighed, she turned her whole body towards him, stepped closer, and placed a kiss on his cheek "I'm sure. I want this" she answered.

Wukong froze with a surprised expression, he then nodded. They both face Reb, she smirked and nodded "Well, If that's the plan now, lets get it done before anything else happens" she spoke and began running off.

Staple was about to run after but Wukong stopped her "Wait Staple!" she looked at him curiously. He removed his cape and wrapped it over her shoulders, Staple looked at him surprised "To hide your scars better since your sweater is torn up" he explained.

Staple sweetly smiled at his gesture. Then they began running down the lab along with Reb, one by one they took down each guard and scientist that crossed their path, They find Candy watching in shock.

Staple growled demonically just by looking at him, he pulled out some communicator and was about to hold it up to he ear but Reb used her tail to grab it and throw it across the wall, breaking it.

Candy looked back at the 3 "How are you back, how are you alive?" he asked, Staple stepped closer to him "That's not important right now" she harshly grabbed him by the throat "I overheard that the cure for my cannibalism was made so tell me" she tighten her grip "Where is it?" she asked demandingly.

Candy struggled to breath "I won't tell you" he said, Staple bashed his head against the wall "Tell me where it is or I will devour you!" she yelled in anger, Candy grunted from the impact "So you're just gonna kill me without getting your answer?" he questioned.

Staple growled "Just tell me already or I swear I will snap off your neck" she threatened as she tightened her grip, Candy grunted "Okay fine. The antidote is in my office, second shelf, the blue needle" he answered.

Staple frowned, she used her other hand to reach over and remove his mask, revealing the scars she gave him from her escape, exposing the insides of his mouth "But Subject 001, you can never escape this place, for you are a dangerous creature that needs to be held down. and only I can do that" he spoke.

Staple growled, she made her grip tighter "My name isn't Subject 001..." she spoke, her fangs grew long and she looked at Candy in pure rage "MY NAME IS STAPLE!!!!" before she knew it, she was viciously devouring Candy. More aggressive than ever.

She stopped when he was nothing but limp flesh, Reb and Wukong watched. She sat up and wiped the blood from her mouth, she turned to look at them "Last time I'm doing that" she said, Reb gave a pleased expression at what she witnessed.

They then ran, searching for Candy's office, they find it. Staple uses her electric powers to over heat the card reader and burst in. Reb searched through the shelves and found the needle they were looking for, she picked it up and flicked the tip of it, she looked at Staple "Okay Staple, you ready to do this?" she asked.
