TANJIRO'S SENSE OF SMELL

Why does he smell like .. a girl?
It had been months since Giyuu's declaration that he has a wife and that she, in fact, loves him. And since then, no one has believed him, he met Tanjiro and his demon sister, and then he saw them again when he was brought in for questioning.
And, as of right now, his demon sister was allowed to live and Tanjiro was currently wondering around HQ when he had bumped into Giyuu again.
Now,
Tanjiro doesn't particularly remember what Giyuu smelled like when they first met, but he was sure that the scent of vanilla was definitely no where on him during that first meeting of theirs.
Of course, at that time, Tanjiro was in a panicked state, so maybe he missed it?
"Uhm, Giyuu?"
Cold blue eyes fixated onto warm red ones. The two seeming to have a silent staring contest.
"Why do you smell like a girl?"
"My wife washed my hair this morning and used her shampoo since I ran out of my own."
Oh, that makes sense- wait. Wife?
"You're married?"
Alas, it seems he was even betrayed by Tanjiro.
