The storm was heavy as I stumbled through the woods, desperate to find something familiar.

That was when I came across a building. It seemed almost like a watch tower but also seemed like a small temple, the structure was quaint and had clearly been taken over by the elements.

I pushed on the door and it opened with a long, high creak. It was still and steady with no sign of rodents.

I took a cautious step inside, out of the rain and got to work making a fire. Once the hot embers grew, I could make out the strange old tapestries on the walls, that have long since been overtaken by moss and spiderwebs.

"YOU!" A hand reached from the darkness, long dark nails aimed at my eyes.

"Y/n?" I straightened, Erwins cold gaze pierced through me.

"I may or may not have...disobeyed your orders but-"

"You think? I stopped you from going down there because they are a risk. You should have came forward about your curiosity and someone could've escorted you."

"They wouldn't have talked. Everything was calculated. Hange would agree that it was the best call. Right?" Hange just watched me.

"At one point I would've sided with you. However, you cannot come to any solid plan when shifters are involved."

"They're chained to a wall."

"And all it takes would be for them to draw blood and destroy the HQ! At one point, I would've believed that any risk was worth taking to further our knowledge. Y/n, we lost you twice. Once outside the walls and another at the hands of those two. If they'd gone titan and destroyed the place, there would be no survivors. In this scenario, that calculated risk was just too ballsy." I glanced at the three of them, each with their own strange expression on their face.

"What information was worth all that?"

"I have to go outside the walls." I stated with a level voice, my hands shook beneath the table. Levi stiffened whilst erwin leaned forward.

"And why is that? A vision?"

"Yes and no. There's something i remember. I found...Its hazy but i feel as though it calls to me. But i see a crumbled down home too. I feel like both things are linked but i dont know...how or why."

They continued to stare and I showed a sheet of paper, a rough sketch of both the ruin and strange building.

"They are reoccurring visions, it's almost like...im running out of time. As if somethings coming. I need to find it." Erwin shared a look with levi.

"Not alone."

Alone!

"Urgh. No. No I have to go alone. I...I" levi instantly placed a hand on my shoulder as my eyes fogged.

The world around me swirled into a strange vision. There was nothing around me, an empty darkness.

"Hello?"

"I have made everything so simple for you yet nothing is ever right." A stern voice echoed.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I called out, into the void. A figure emerged from the darkness.

"You really are a lost cause if you can't even recognize your own voice. Go to the Chapel beyond the walls. Alone. Everyone needs to be within the walls. The end of this fight is finally nearing."

"How do you know all of this? Please!"

"You'll find your answers soon enough. Be at the Chapel by sundown tomorrow and you'll see. Everything will soon fall into place and you'll finally save them all."

"Wait! What do you mean?"

The vision faded and I was back at the desk being frantically shaken by Hange.

"Y/n?! Can you hear me?"

"I'd be able to answer if you stopped shaking me." She immediately stepped back, levi took a seat beside me, taking my hands in his.

"What was that?"

"It was a weird vision. I need to go alone and I need to start the journey today. I need to make it for sundown tomorrow.  I have a feeling the crumbled down house...is related to the basement that Eren was so adamant we find." I  muttered, my head pounding as I reached for my glass of water.

"I'll accompany you to the wall." I glanced to levi, his eyes were steel and his tone firm.

"Fine but you can't go further. They're going to need you." I mused, gesturing to Erwin and hange.

"And what if you end up needing me?"

"I'll be fine."

"That's bullshit." His voice cracked, I felt my heart ache as his expression changed.

"Le-"

"How many times have you claimed something will be fine? First you disappeared, next you ended up on bed rest, then you died! This time...this time you might not be so lucky. I dont- i cant lose you again." I glanced to erwin and hange only to find the same distraught expressions on their faces. I glanced into levis glistening eyes.

"I know how scary this seems but you need to trust me. I will be fine. I'll be back with you before anyone can begin to miss me. You're needed here, within the walls. Something...something important is being hidden in that demolished house. And something important is calling for me out there." He watched me for a moment, silent. A small nod was the only answer I got as he rubbed his hands over his face.

"I will come back to you. I promise."

"Don't promise anything that you can't definitively keep." I took a moment to glance at my three oldest friends, tears welled in my eyes.

"I will do everything I can to keep it. Even if it takes another six years. I'll be here."  They nodded, Erwin sighed, rubbing a hand over his face.

"Get what you need. Hange and I will check in with the three stooges about these ruins. Take levi with you to the wall. Be safe, I'm authorising three days." I nodded, putting on a brave smile.

"I'll be back before you know it." I mused, embracing hange before pulling erwin into a hug.

A chill ran through me and I pulled away.

"I'll miss you." The commander bit his lip and pulled me in tighter.

"You had better come back. That's an order." His voice cracked.

"Be safe, Erwin. I cant lose any of you either." He patted my back, I pulled away and wiped my tears before looking at levi.

I hurried wrapped my arms tight around him.

"Be safe or I swear I'm going to fucking kill you." I let out a choked laugh.

"Gee, I love you too." I pulled back, cupping his face in my hands.

"I will be fine. You'll be the ones travelling through titan infested territory. "

"You're going beyond the walls alone."

"You're stuck with jaeger." He huffed a small laugh.

"...okay not to break up this cute little moment You're having but I need a hug too!" Hange exclaimed, shoving levi aside and wrapping her arms around me.

"It'd better be worth it. I'd say be safe out there but...if anyone can get out there and back safe, it'd be you." I moved back and glanced at the three of them before giving a solute.

"I'll be back before you know it."
