Nick & Neil - Special Chapter 8

"I also want to know who sent me this," Neil said in a strained voice, looking at his lover.

"So, can you tell me now? How did this come about and why did someone send me this photo?" Neil asked again.

"Neil, what did you say?" said the voice of Neil's mother. This caused both to immediately turn to look. Nick's mother is still shopping.

"Well, he asked mom, and I showed him" Neil said back.

"Nick, I said it would be better to talk at home. Don't talk around here," Mom said.

"Yes," Nick replied, glaring at his lover.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Neil asked softly.

"If your mom hadn't been here, you would have been mad at me, right?" Nick asked back.

"Not much, shorty," Neil said, but he was grateful to his mother for calming him down a bit.

"You're always like this. I'll go talk to mom" Nick said and walked towards his mom angrily but it wasn't that serious.

"I told you what to talk about. No fuss in the first place" Neil's mom muttered.

"I know mum" replied Neil, before leading his mom to join Nick.

The whole-time walking through the supermarket Nick didn't go anywhere near Neil, but talking to Neil's mother normally, it makes Neil want to latch onto his lover's neck and drag him back to his condo right away, but he can't. He doesn't want to make his mother unhappy.

"Are you finished shopping, Mom?" Neil asked his mother, as he looked at the lover who was still picking fruit, not caring about Neil,

"Where are you going in such a hurry? Or if you have a few things to do first, the three of us can take a taxi alone" Neil's mother said sarcastically to her son.

"I don't have any business, I just had to ask" Neil said back, looking at Nick with a puzzled look for a while before finishing his shopping. Then Neil drove his mother and his lover's mother back home. Neil drives back to the condo, the 3 people help carry things up to the room.

"What are you making for dinner tonight?" Nick asked curiously.

"Would you like to cook this sukiyaki? I want to eat it" Mom said, Nick nodded.

"Then let me help you," said Nick.

"Fine," replied the mother, ignoring her son's glare. Once he got to the room, Nick arranged to move the belongings to the kitchen. Neil puts the things his mom bought in the little room where she sleeps, before heading out to find Nick in the kitchen again.

"Shorty" Neil called his lover.

"What?" Nick answered shortly and took the item out of his bag and placed it on the table. Neil's mother glanced slightly at her son and daughter-in-law.

"Let's talk," Neil said.

"I'm going to help mom," Nick responded immediately. This caused Neil to let out a slight grunt.

"Nick, go talk to him first. I'll be finished soon," said his mother.

"Yes," Nick responded graciously. As well as putting things on the kitchen floor. Nick entered the room with Neil following him, upon entering the room, Neil quickly locked the door.

"What is it?" Neil asked in a hushed tone. Nick turned to Neil with a puzzled look.

"What is it? Tell me clearly" Nick asked back.

"Why don't you pay attention to me? I try not to be impatient with you anymore. Why are you so angry?" Neil asked, looking at his lover without looking away.
