"Welcome home, дочь."

I've slowly started to gain my memory back since the Lombardis took me in through vivid dreams or flashbacks or whatever you want to call them.
I recognized Alexei and Dmitri back in New York because of them, but this man I have never seen before.

As much as I wish my dream on the plane was my reality, it's not. The only thing left for me to do is to hold out as long as I can before Daddy comes to rescue me.

"S-sir, I'm sorry but I don't remember you." I say, hiding half my face in Alexei's arm who's carrying me. For the half that's peeking out I make sure to give my best puppy dog eyes and a pout.

He looks at me with an unbothered, passive expression.

"You still speak Russian, no?"

"Oh no sir, I do! It's just that I've just been using English for so long. Привет, меня зовут Алина."
*Hello, my name is Alina.

"I know very well who you are принцесса. You're my daughter."
*princess

"So you're my oтец?"
*father

"Yes. My name is Nikolai. But you may call me oтец."

Don't say it. Don't say it. D-

"But Daddy is at home."

I seriously need to get a filter.

He shows no physical reaction but I can see that there's pure rage in his eyes.

"No ангел, this is your real Daddy. We apologize, Pakhan. It's j-"

"It's alright Alexei. It seems Alina is simply confused. We'll fix that."

What does he mean by that?

With one last look, my fake father goes inside.

I'm so confused. I don't remember anything important from my kidnapping in New York. I didn't hear any of the conversation Mommy had with them.

The names 'Alexei' and 'Dmitri' echoed in my nightmares and their faces haunted me for a while but Mommy and Daddy helped.
I had dreams of them hurting me. They claimed to be my brothers but everyone said that my real brothers were Sandy, Lulu, Mimi, Nico, and Manny.

Now that I think about it, I never asked about how I actually came to be with my family or more like, why did these meanies have me in the first place? I doubt these people will me an honest answer though.

A cold breeze snaps me out of my thoughts, reminding me we are still outside.

"Are you cold цветок?

I nod.

"Then let's get you inside for lunch ангел."

Alexei hasn't put me down yet so he carries me into their, I mean our house. It's not my home though.

But for now I should just do my best to go along with their act. None of this is real. It might have only been in dreams, but I know what I saw. These are dangerous, violent people.

"What would you like you eat Alina?" Dmitri asks me as we walk towards what I assume to be the kitchen. Maybe he cooks.
