Without thinking,Ian ran after the man and grasped his coat.
Ian hitched due to the pain in his lower body part.
He was relieved that the man hadn't heard him.
The lawyer was flabbergasted.
"Umm, thank you, Mister, for saving me and making me understand the significance of our own existence."uttered Ian after a long silence of enduring the pain.
"It's okay,"responded the lawyer and patted his shoulder.
"I am Park Myung ,"the lawyer introduced himself.
"I am Choi Ian and sir, You saved me, and I am indebted to you.
Please tell me anything I can do to repay your kindness,sir. " asked Ian pleadingly while bowing.
"Don't bother, Ian,oh it's raining, and I am still talking to you outside.
We are drenched top to bottom.
Come sit inside the car.I apologize.
As a token of my apologies, i will give you a drive to your house." proposes the lawyer.
His face changed from relief to horror.
Ian didn't want to go back to face this nightmare again.
This time, he won't be able to take it anymore.
Tears started welling his eyes.
This change of expression didn't go unnoticed by the lawyer.
"Please, sir,don't take me back.
I will do anything .
Please, i don't want to feel this pain again."pleaded Ian while grapping the lawyer hand .
The lawyer assumed that something horrible must have happened to the boy,something that was painful to talk about.
So, at first meeting, he didn't want to pester the boy.
So he is willing to accept his request in return from him to share his problems.
"Earlier,you asked me something that what you can do to repay my kindness.
So I thought about it and i'd be willing to let you stay with me and take care of my son but with some conditions."said the lawyer.
"Maeu gamsahabnida,Myung-shi(thank you so much,Myung sir," said Ian gratefully by hugging the lawyer.
The lawyer didn't expect this.
He didn't know why he was feeling weird with a mere hug.
Maybe because it's been a long time since someone hugged him.
