Looking in mirrors to see distorted outlines.
Unwanted fats and hairs, dark spots, awkward jawlines.
Dejected eyes closing in comforting confines.
Washing a body marked by other people's whines.

"Neither tall nor short, too slim yet still stout", they say.
The contradicting cries from then until today.
Prejudice of the centuries: "your life, our say".
Standard claim that some people deems as the right way.

The advocacies to stop this unwanted nonsense.
Falling in stubborn ears, "it's normal" as defense.
Common words thrown as satire still make people tense.
So why let norms stay when it spoil more than it cleanse?

Let the weakening voices of change get stronger.
Fight the insecurities of one another.
A campaign that may have started as a whisper.
A wish for the noise to cease for something better.
