Third Person POV

Race had no idea what was going on.

It felt like he was floating, or laying against a giant block of a ice.

He felt like he couldn't move.

Race also found waking up to be very difficult.

He could hear voices, but he couldn't place them. They both sounded vaguely familiar, but he wasn't sure who they were.

Am I dreaming?

"Did your plan involve him escaping?"

"No, of course not. He's smart, and my stupid Newsies forgot about that."

"Yeah? Well, now you've dragged me into this."

"But this is good! That means you finally have a way to get revenge on your brother!"

"Or, maybe we can leave it be and you can put your crazy revenge idea away."

"And do what? They're going to kill me if I return the kid back to them, especially looking like this."

The kid? Race's face scrunched up in confusion. Are they talking about me?

"And that's my problem how?"

"Because I'm your cousin!"

Cousin?

"To hell with cousins! To hell with families! I'm done with this crap!"

Well, someone sounds like a cheery family member.

"Sienna, listen to me! He left you out to die! You would've been dead if London hadn't found you! He deserves this!"

Sienna? Race frowned, starting to wake up more. How do I know that name?

"Maybe it's time you forget about this."

"He left you out to die!"

Race flinched when he heard something crash.

"Don't you get snappy with me, McCarthy. My borough has a lot more power than yours. I may be younger, but you do not get to speak down to me."

You go, girl. Race thought, a bit delirious. Then, his eyes widened when he realized where he knew those voices. Snowflake. That's Snowflake, and Revenge.

Race grimaced. I'm back in East Side? After I worked so hard to escape?

Revenge scowled, muttering some curses.

"I'm not just some girl who's a pawn in your plan," Snowflake reminded him, glaring at him. "Learn some manners."

Revenge sighed. "Okay. I apologize." He stepped back, his hands up. "Just consider it."
