You were done.

You didn't want to work here anymore

Work hours were shit, the employees were shit, the work environment was shit, the screams were shit, hell, EVERYTHING FUCKING SUCKED!

You storm into your manager's office and slammed your badge on his desk which causes him to flinch, he looks up at you

"What- what do you want?!" He says angrily

"I'm fucking quitting"

"...what?"

"I QUIT!" You snap, "I hate it here! I'm going to another job, a job where. Oh I dunno, maybe a job where I don't FUCKING KILL PEOPLE EVERY DAY!" You shout at him, he seems stunned.

After all these years of working here, no one has actually ever quit

"I'm. Done." You say, you leave the badge on his desk and take off your coat, then leave it on the floor of his office.

He seems stunned. A bit frightened even. This had never happened before, but it wasn't because of that...

It was because...well...

He loved you...

He just never had a chance to say it...

Over the years, you two had gotten so close, and he was actually planning to tell you sometime this week that you were the one for him, but here you were. Leaving him behind...

Just like Julie

He stood up, emotionless and reached for your jacket...

He felt something run down his cheek, and lifted his hand up to wipe whatever it was...

It was a tear

He was crying.

It had been years since he cried, the only other time he had ever cried was when his precious daughter died, and until now he had always bottled up his emotions

He let out a pained scream of both anger and sadness as he practically felt his heart shatter

Heart of glass, mind of stone...

He clutched your pristine white coat in his hands and just stared at it, for what felt like an eternity

First it was his parents

Then it was his daughter

Then it was Julie

And now.

It was you.

Why did everyone he loved leave him..? Did he just not deserve to be loved?

He kept your coat and badge instead of throwing it away and went back to his desk, he sat down, staring blankly at the work on his table. And suddenly he just threw it all off.

He couldn't take this anymore...

He proceeded to break random shit in his office and made a complete mess, guess this was the consequence of bottling up your emotions for so long...

(Timeskip to a month later)

He tried to move on

Believe me he tried

He tried to think of anything else but what had happened, and he just couldn't

He began to shut himself off from the world

"If I don't love anyone anymore. I can't get hurt anymore..."

He thought

But now he was miserable, he was just a depressed man, destined to loose everyone he loved...

One day, he just decided to end it.

Everything felt like it was collapsing around him

It was too much...

He took out a piece of paper and spent an hour writing on it.

Then He grabbed a pistol from his desk and held it up to his head.

Then he took out your badge, and stared blankly at your picture

He then smiled a bit as his hands trembled and tears rolled down his eyes.

"Y/N....I never got to tell you this but..."

"I love you..."

"And I'm so. So sorry..."

And with those final words, a loud gunshot was heard throughout the facility.

And just like that

Wally Darling was now dead...
