It was the day of Andi and Robin's gender reveal. Fatima's parents house was known for the family events so it was nothing to use their home.
Fatima drove home from campus early in the morning so she could have time and not have to rush around. When she got to her parents' house, her dad was pulling some tables and chairs out of the garage to take to the back deck where the reveal will be.
"And you said what is this for again?" Her father ask
"Daddy it's a cookout, with family you know the good vibes" Fatima tells her father.
"You got your momma up out the bed early in that kitchen talking about I got to wait to eat until everything is done. I couldn't even get some breakfast from my wife" he complained and Fatima laughed
"I hear you out here lying to that girl" her mother says walking through the open garage.
"He expected me to lay out a full spread for him this morning after he seen me set everything up. He walked around like a sad puppy" her mother says laughing
"You're starving my dad like he's not about to be slaving over the grill" Fatima says unloading some things from her trunk.
"I'll be surprised how much actually makes it to the table you know your father eats off the grill" her mother says and they all laugh

A few hours had passed and the family started arriving. Andi's mother and father arrived with Danni's parents. Not long after did Robin and Zac's parents arrived. Just like the group, all of their parents were close.
When Fatima saw Zac's parents it was nothing but love like always.
"I knew it was something that when I hadn't saw your face or heard that voice" Zac's mother says hugging Fatima
"I done told that asshole he was gonna lose you and he ain't believe me" Zac's father says
"You told him right, but he's his father's child" his mother says laughing and Fatima couldn't help but to laugh especially knowing it was the truth.
"The hell that's suppose to mean? I raised my sons well, one of them is just a dummy" he says
"He's a special character but yeah we aren't together. I'm sure he told you" Fatima says
"That boy done lied. Had me thinking y'all were still together and then he brought that little girl to my house, I cursed his ass out" his mother said and Fatima laughed
"Yeah he's crazy. More so delusional" Fatima mumbled the last part to herself.
As Fatima continued to move around the house to finalize some things people continued to show up, Robin's friends and frat brothers, more of the immediate family but no sign of Zac yet.
It was only about five minutes before Andi and Robin's scheduled arrival time.
Fatima stepped off to the side to answer Anthony's call. He wanted to call and check on her since she left early this morning while he was still sleeping before work. She ended up cutting the call short once she got a text letting her know that Andi and Robin were there.
Fatima ran to the front door to meet them while everyone mingled in the back.
"Are you ready?" Fatima ask Andi who was casually dressed with her small bump protruding.
"Yeah where's Dani? She didn't run her mouth did she?" Andi ask
"Dani is somewhere around here and better not have. I think she may have actually held water" Fatima says as they walk through the house
