~Kyler~

I've gotten pretty well acquainted with SJ and Mr. Terrence within the past 3 hours being that Samantha is currently having that conversation with her mom she's been dreading.

So we are out in the garage which is more like a man cave in my opinion. He's got his leather sofas in here, a flat screen, a sick set of speakers, his "collection" which is an assortment of glass pieces and a bunch of strains of weed.

I'm not going to lie, how could I not indulge just once. My girl made a bold move and brought her ass back home even though this is something she's been afraid of. What is trying a plant deemed harmless, one time, going to do?

"Kyler you alright over there, what you thinking about son?" Her dad asks sitting back with his legs crossed in what looks to be a super comfortable position.

I shrug.

"A lot. I'm thinking about a lot, but nothing bad. I'm chilling. I feel good."

"Yeah, this shit'll do it to you. Just vibes." SJ speaks as he takes a sip of his body armor. "Just make sure you stay hydrated cause going dry is not a good feeling. He gets up and goes into the mini fridge to get me one.

"So, how did you and Samantha get to know each other if you don't mind my asking?"

I laugh at the question.

"Sorry. I uh," I shake off what I feel is kind of a stupid question. I mean. I am her husband's teammate. "I've seen her around. I hang out with the Barrackas a lot and so does she, and I don't know. She's funny. She's very kind, thoughtful. She's a rare gem..." I start getting in my feelings.

I take a deep breath thinking about how special she really is to me. And how much I sat back and watched her go through with Garrison.

"She deserves the world and I want to give it to her. I've always just wanted to give her everything her heart desires. Just to see her smile. I'm pretty sure I'm in love with her." I nod to myself and the room stays silent.

"So, when she gets divorced..." SJ starts.

"If marriage is something she wants again, I want to marry her. I could see myself as her husband, I know she's my wife, and I'll treat her like it. It's been so hard to stand by that nigga everyday and pretend that I don't want to tear his head off for the shit he's done to her. Only way I can get her justice is by being better to her than he ever could. And I will. Be better I mean."

Terrence gets up and walks over to me. He puts his hand out as if he expects me to shake it. I take it and he pulls me up and into a hug.

"Well whenever that is, you have my blessing. The fact that you can say this to us without hesitation or fear, and you don't even know us without past a few hours...gives me confidence enough to trust that you can and will succeed in everything you're saying. I trust that we have a lot more getting to know each other to do." He tells me.

"Welcome to the family boss."

As I get into the shower I can hear the room door open and close and I'm pretty certain it's Sam.

After about 5 minutes she comes into the bathroom stripped bare and gets into the shower with me.

I smile staring at her and just admiring her physique. Well, her everything.

"Hi." She smiles wrapping her arms around me.

"Wassup baby." I hug her.

We just hold each other in silence for a while.

"You okay?" I ask.

She pulls her head back and rests her chin on my chest.

"Yeah. I told mommy everything... I want to get a tattoo, to cover this up. She pitched the idea and it's actually something I've thought about before, but not seriously. Now I want to."
