"She actually said it..." Jael said

"No way!" I replied back, hovering my phone over my face

"Yes way, and I said No"

"Jael? You really need to stop turning women down. It takes a lot of guts for a woman to ask a guy out and you always turning them down isn't really boosting their self confidence here"

Honestly, I loved Jael but God forbid I had to be one of those women who he never considered, I'd probably throw myself across a bridge or drown in saltwater

"But you know I have made it clear that I don't want to date.. I just want to be ..."

"Rich and single" I completed on his behalf, I've heard that line a thousand times

"Actually..."

I looked at my phone watching as he played with his fingers

"Actually what?" I asked

"I think, I want a child"

I blinked to make sure I wasn't dreaming or sumthung

"You want a child? As in an actual one?"

"No, I want a dead goat" He replied rolling his eyes

Jael and his sarcasm. He was the king!

"So what's her name? And why haven't we met?" I asked sitting up

He sighed "There's no her. I wanted to adopt or better still find a surrogate"

"Wow, Jael, I am really proud of you, you are finally becoming a man"

"Fuck you Farida!"

I laughed

"Has he called?" He asked cutting my laughter shut

"No"

"Is that good or bad?" He asked me

"I don't know."

He smiled at me "Hot chocolate tomorrow?"

I squealed making him groan "Yes please!"

"How's the baby?" He asked

"She's alright"

"She?"

I shrugged "It could be a boy for all I care" I didn't want a specific sex, I'd count myself blessed if the baby and I survived this ordeal

The ringing of the doorbell cut me short

"Someone's at your door" Jael said

I stood up, sliding my legs into my comfy slippers
