Post World Cup

The day after the final was a blur for everyone because they had interviews with tv hosts back in England they were during the night a few hours after the final whistle, when they got back to their hotel after the game, the team partied until 2 am as they were flying home at 10pm the next day back to london, plus they have a "homecoming presentation" in Wembley straight after they land in Heathrow so they'll be forced to sleep on the plane,

A group of girls woke up for their last sunrise in Australia, this group consisted of Leah, Elizabeth, Kiera , Lucy , Georgia, Alessia and Ella, Elizabeth of course brought her ukelele with her and whilst they were sitting they did a little reminiscing over the past months and how they've all become so much closer with each other, as the sun started to rise elizabeth started to play a slower rendition of a song that had become synonymous with England and their fans, after the girls heard this they thought should surprise everyone at the presentation as a thank you for supporting them through everything, it was okayed with everyone who was organising the presentation in wembley. No one knew about Elizabeth singing to the fans except the group who were at the beach.

The presentation started by Leah bringing the trophy followed by all of the rest of the team, Elizabeth was interviewed by Jill Scott and Alex Scott as they were hosting the presentation, Leah was the last one to be interview whilst that was happening Elizabeth slipped off stage to get mic'd up and grab her guitar which was also was plugged into a speaker, elizabeth could hear leah being finishing her interview:

AS: "Leah do you have any final words for the fans "

LW: "yeah actually a few of the girls and I have organised a little surprise to say thank you for supporting us through these past few weeks and years, especially on social media as we've seen people ask for this since they saw a few of the girls instagram stories back at the start of the tournament, so please people of wembley and fellow Lionesses give it up your surprise

After Leah put the microphone down the entire stadium went silent waiting for this "surprise" a few seconds went by when they started to hear the opening chords to an acoustic version of Sweet Caroline they were then greeted by guitar playing Elizabeth Bennett who when the crowd saw went it erupted in cheers, When Elizabeth got to "hands touching hands" she was surrounded by the group of women who joined in on the chorus and urged the crowd to join too.

In the weeks that followed the final were mainly spent in preparation of the WSL season that was about to start, after last season Elizabeth's contract with spurs was up so that meant she could leave or resign a contract, Elizabeth was going to re-sign with spurs but that was until she was offered the contract of her life, Arsenal had made communication that they wanted her after her performance in the world cup,

Elizabeth wasted no time deciding on whether or not she'd take it of course she accepted the offer from her dream club,

The day came where she went to take all the press pictures,sign the contract, and also get her jersey and her number which was 8, Elizabeth knew there would be a lot of pressure with this number as the last person who had the number 8 jersey was the legend of Arsenal Womens, Jordan Nobbs, in knowing this when she was announced as arsenal latest signing she put out a instagram post of 8 year old Elizabeth wearing an Arsenal jersey then her standing with her Bennett 8 jersey in front of the big arsenal badge on the wall the caption was:

@ebennett00: Signing for my childhood club is truly a dream come true since my first Arsenal shirt when i was 8 years old to now being 23, I'd always hope that some time along this amazing road i've been on since i was 16 I'd get to represent this badge that got me into football. I have to say thank you to Tottenham Hotspurs for giving me the opportunity to play at the highest level of women's football in England for the past 2 years, I've learned so many things that I will bring with me for the rest of my career, Wearing number 8 comes with a lot of pressure especially being the first person to wear it since @jordannobbs wore it, but i'd like to try promise the club and fans that i'll honour Jordan and not act as a replacement, I cannot wait to play for the badge I love so much.

It didn't come as a shock to fans that Elizabeth had signed for Arsenal as they knew it was inevitable, Over the next few days Elizabeth had not been paying attention to any media or on her phone as she was moving to a new house in St Albans to be closer to a few of the girls on the team, When Elizabeth finally looked at her phone she saw that her mentions were blowing up and there had been another new signing announced, Elizabeth was going to be joined at Arsenal by the person she made eye contact with when she was singing in the music shop in Australia back during the world cup, the person who she had developed feelings for but kept pushing down as she lived 4 hours away and played for a rival team, those feelings came rushing back when she saw who had just signed for Arsenal.
