As Kiri calmed you took a step into the water, only for it to actively avoid your feet, creating a small wall-like barrier around it, you kept walking until you where met with the shell
Smiling, you picked it up, turning to see Kiri who stood in the same position as before, her mouth agape as she looks to you in pure astonishment and wonder, you hold your hand out signaling her to join you.
Kiri, cautiously, walks towards you, holding onto your arm as you walk deeper into the ocean - the 'walls' around you becoming higher the deeper you went
This way, you where able to admire the ocean's wonders whilst not being in it, all of Eywa's children and creations at the tips of your fingertips
As Kiri gawked at the wildlife, a curve like embodiment of the water - whom you had become most familiar with, emerged from the top of the ocean, curving into the space where you and Kiri where
You smiled as you placed your hand out to touch her, this was as if touching Eywa, to you - your power was a gift, you like to think of her being here
You say Kiri silently whisper in amazement, coming forward to follow your lead, but instead of simply being able to touch the water, the structure of the water broke, immediately splashing a large amount of water onto Kiri, as she laughed in disbelief
"I think that I a sign" you laugh as you look to the girl beside you, who looks back to you with a mixed look of astonishment and thankfulness
"Y/N -"
"Kiri!" Someone yelled, springing your attention back to the shore as you looked back to Kiri
"Come on, let's go, hurry!" You say, clutching the original orange shell as you ran back to shore with Kiri, the wall of water crashing and returning to their original form behind you
You where met with the voice of Neteyam, calling out for his sister, before he emerged from behind a nearby tree, lightly jogging over to his sister and you
"Are you okay? You skxawng's!" He said, firstly checking Kiri for wound and then connecting eyes with you
"I thought you where hurt-" he says, grabbing onto your arm gently as you felt his tail brush up against your thigh
"But I am fine" you say calmly, taking his hand from your arm and intertwining them, placing them both onto your upper chest.
"Yeah- I'm gonna give you two a minute" Kiri said, smirking as she began to walk off "thank you y/n."
You nodded as you looked back to Neteyam, it was the beginning of eclipse by now, and the soft tones of the sky blended beautifully with his eyes
You smile softly as your lips part ever so slightly, you take your and neteyam's intertwined hands, placing a feather light kiss onto his finger tips
Neteyam took this as an opportunity to bring you closer to him, his tail now finding itself wrapped around your leg, he spoke barely above a whisper
"- what if you where hurt I"
You stop him as you shakily breathe in, taking the opportunity to say the words
"I see you"
Neteyams eras pricked up as he brought your lips to his in one quick swoop, you favoured the omens as you smiled widely into the kiss, it was not rough, rather soft and gentle
As you both pulled apart he looked you deep into your eyes, smiling with pure love expressed on his face
"I see you too ma y/n"
