Third person pov

Five starts writing on the car trying to figure out what is causing cows to disappear. Vanessa leans on the car observing Five.

Vanessa rolls her eyes looking away from Five.
"You know for a 16-year-old you're pretty smart." Five stops writing at looks at me "Wow you just noticed?"

Vanessa once again rolls her eyes at his snarky comment. "How did you get so smart?"

Five finishes his equation and gets closer to her.
He didn't want to get closer to her but his body said otherwise. That kiss kept popping into his mind it was stuck into his mind like glue. He kept reliving it. Her soft lips. Her body was close to his. His hand was on her waist and the other on her beautiful face. The heated kiss.

He couldn't help but think about it. It's all he was thinking about while doing equations but once again he was stubborn and brushed it off and snapped back into reality. "Well, I went through a whole lot, and along the way, I learned a ton I guess."

Vanessa looked down at her feet not knowing what to say. She couldn't bear to look him in the eyes. She felt her heart race and she couldn't help but melt into his touch. She thought maybe they were onto breaking rule 3, she thought being friends wouldn't be so bad.

Also deep down she knew friends didn't seem right either they had something way different than just friendship but she couldn't figure out what it was.

Five began to speak getting closer unintentionally and that resulted in Vanessa to look up at him.
"I've been thinking and let's be frien-"

Vanessa's pov

We get interrupted due to Klaus shouting at us
"Five! Vanessa! Start the car, would ya? Oh my... shit, shit, shit! Five! Start the car! Five! Start the car! Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Five sprints to the driver's seat sighing at Klaus and his actions.
"Why can't you just get along with people?"

Oh no.

Klaus continues running ocassionally looking back to a massive group of men with weapons.
"I tried. Really, I did. I tried!"

Five shouts
"Vanessa get in the car."
"Okay geez."
I get in the car and sit in the middle next to Five.

I can't with this weird connection between us and what makes it worse is I can't seem to comprehend what it is.

Five sees me deep in my thoughts and turns his attention to me."Vanessa?"

"What do you want?" I ask annoyed that he interrupted my train of thought.

Five stares at me and sighs as if he had something to let out but was holding back. "Nothing." was all I got from him. I roll my eyes wanting him to say it.
"Just spit it out, you moron."

Five starts the car and mumbles under his breath.
"It's nothing."
I could certainly tell something was up but left it alone not wanting to push it.

Five opens the car door and pokes his head out rushing Klaus.
"Come on! Get in the car, Klaus!"

An Amish woman grabs Klaus's face and
"You have her eyes. English, go!"

I shout wanting Klaus to pick up the pace.
"Klaus, it's now or never! Klaus!"

The Amish woman advises worriedly.
"Go, go!"

We all take off relieved and as we get somewhat far Klaus starts reading this book.

Klaus points at the book intrigued by what he was looking over.
"This whole timeline's chock-full of riddles. Get this. My mom died here before I was even born!"
