Lea calling...

Alex denied the call since he was busy thinking of the chairman and the program that is happening right in front of him, but then his phone rang for the second time around. He irritatingly answered his phone.

"Hello?! I am at the middle of party, Le—"

"Hello?" A sweet, innocent and gentle voice welcomed him.

"Who am I speaking to?" He made his way out of the function hall, so he can hear the caller clearly.

"Stella. Stella Mace."

"Stella..." He repeated. "Why did you call, little girl?" His tone shifted into a more approachable one.

"We have no yaya at the moment and my mom's sick. I am the only one with her. What should I do po?"

"Wait, Stella. Can we please facetime na lang?" He really doesn't know but somehow, he wanted to see her face.

"Oh, sure!" She ended the call right away and facetimed Alex. She surely knows how to navigate her mom's phone.

Now, not only Alex can hear her clearly but he can also see her clearly. Stella is already in her pajamas when she called. "Hi!" She greeted again.

"Hello there, young lady! So, what are you asking again?"

"I am asking you po how to take care of mommy. She's very sick at the moment and I don't know how to make her well."

When the child repeated her question and explanation, that was the only time it sinks into his mind. Lea's sick.

"Oh! Where are you right now?"

"Currently, I am at my room because my mom's hearing is so sensitive when she's sick and I don't want her to be disturbed."

"Can I please see her?"

"Okay... I'll just keep quiet." She jumped out of her bed and quietly walked towards the master's bedroom. The lights are already turned on.

"Here's my mommy." And although Stella whispered, Lea still heard her.

"Stella, who are you talking to?" She asked so weakly and Alex heard her. She shifted sides so she can look at her daughter. When Lea looked at her, she saw that her phone was already facing her and it's showing her face.

"Ma, someone wanted to see you so I let him."

"I'll be there, Stella. Just wait for me." Alex ended the call even before Lea could snatch her phone out of her daughter's hand.

His heart crumpled and pounded upon seeing her. Her cheeks are so red maybe because of fever and her eyes are gloomy. He immediately entered the function hall and talked to some organizers saying that he has an emergency. He also instructed them to ask Vien if they needed anything since she's the next highest.

After leaving the party, he rushed to the nearest drugstore to buy the needed meds and necessities. He also bought a porridge from another store and he also bought extra food for Stella, the guards, and him. When he's so assured that everything is complete, he drives faster but carefully towards their house. Good thing that he already knows where.

Upon arriving, he carried everything he bought and he didn't knock anymore because the guards were alerted.

"Good evening po! Stella called me po because Lea's sick daw."

"Ah, sir Alex! Pasok ho at kanina pa po kayo inaantay ni Stella."

"Thank you po! Ito nga po pala pagkain kung sakaling hindi pa po kayo nag-didinner." He left one large paper bag and the two guards were so thankful and happy.
