-Third Person-

"Sir, you and the chairman are invited to the Annual Grand Convention at the Grand Plaza Ballroom, Sofitel later at 6 pm po. They're expecting your presence."

"I will attend but can you please inform them that I'll be running late? I have a meeting pa until 6:30 pm."

"Ah, right, sir! I totally forgot."

"Should we exchange positions na?" Alex joked but the way he delivered it is too serious so Zion gulped multiple times. "I was just kidding, Zion."

"Oh!" His secretary replied in a faint voice. A laugh of relief was also heard from him. "I'll inform them right away, sir." Alex just nodded at him and went back to his computer screen to finish reviewing the contract.

Later that evening, after his meeting with a potential investor, he went back home to change clothes. Of course, he will meet big personalities there and he should be, at least, presentable.

He arrived later than 8 pm, but it was alright because he knows that all they have to do there is to listen to some speakers, eat and drink. Upon entering the room, the speaker caught his attention.

"Many of you were asking me how am I after the accident and up to this day, some are still messaging me. I deeply appreciate your concerns and all but let me answer this for once, okay?" She laughs before even continuing. "I am still moving forward from the loss of my parents and sister. It's very hard and painful because, in just a snap of a finger, you're alone. It's very difficult for me to be strong but I need to because of my daughter. But I am getting better every day. Sorry, I took advantage of the moment." She laughs again although pain is very evident in her voice.

"Again, I, thank you, the event organizers, for inviting me here again and giving me the opportunity to speak. God bless us all! Mabuhay po tayong lahat!" A round of applause echoed in the venue. She was also escorted down the stage.

"Thank you, Ms. Solomon for the very heartwarming speech. We are very sorry for your loss but know that we are with you no matter what. Your father was a great businessman that helped a lot of people, especially some who are with us today."

Alex wasn't able to sit anymore because of what he just heard. Why is Lea here and why does it feel like everybody knows her? How do they know her father?

He followed Lea with his eyes and noticed that she was heading in his direction. She was surrounded by several bodyguards.

"Lea!" Alex called. She noticed right away so she stopped walking.

"What are you doing here?"

"No. What are you doing here?" Alex replied. The guards are looking at the two of them.

Lea walked closer to him and grabbed his hands. She held it tight while walking. Now, they're both surrounded by bodyguards.

Mixed feelings were felt by Alex. He's too confused as to why Lea's here. He is also feeling the shock and current traveling down his spine. He is also feeling the softness and warmth of her hand. He is also feeling butterflies rumbling inside his stomach. It's one hell of a rollercoaster for him.

When they reached the outside, several black range rovers were waiting for them. Along with the cars are the media from different stations, taking pictures and trying to initiate an interview.

She tiptoed and whispered, "Where's your car?" to Alex.

"I'm going to call my driver."

"Alright. Here's what we're going to do. I won't go with my driver because it seems like we need to talk. Call your driver and we'll ride your car. Let's just take him home before we talk."
