Tails was given an outfit that appeared similar to Dr. Eggman's
While he was putting it on, Dr. Eggman was preparing a robot that would cause mass destruction. He planned to make Tails to do most of the work cause:
1. Making deadly robots for 30+ really puts a dent in life
2. He knew the most about the enemy's ( his friends )
While #1 is true 😔, #2 really made sense. Tails knows the most about his friends. After all, he has been with them most of his ever repeating 8 y.o. life. He knows their strengths and weaknesses and their tactics.
That's why he wanted tails to do most of the work, while making it feel like both of them were doing work...
