Mr. Perry placed a sac over Eddie's head and led him elsewhere. The other members of the Secret Society would be coming to deal with Victor's body. They had their methods that would surely work.

"Where are you taking me?" Eddie asked after a while of walking.

"You'll see in just a moment. If my knowledge is correct, you've been to this place before."

They stopped for a brief moment and the sac was torn off from over Eddie's head, revealing an all too familiar place without the most pleasant of memories.

The gatehouse.

Mr. Perry put in the pin to unlock the door and forced Eddie inside. He led him up to the secret room that used to hold Frobisher-Smythe's body. Eddie realized he somehow had the moon key to unlock the room. The moon key which belonged to KT. At first, Eddie assumed he'd have the sun key and somehow knew Denby to retrieve it, but it was the moon key. KT's key.

"How did you get that?" Eddie asked.

"You'll be happy to discover how."

Eddie was finally taken into the room where his old friend awaited. KT was working with Daniel.

"KT?" Eddie almost couldn't believe what he was seeing. Yeah, she was older since the last time he saw her, but that was still the one and only KT Rush. "What are you doing here?"

"What does it look like?" KT snarled back in a harsher tone than Eddie expected.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I'll leave you two alone then..." Daniel dismissed himself, knowing they were about to have a private conversation.

"Being bad is the new in," KT revealed, pacing around the room. "It just feels so good. And it's not like these stupid sarcophagi that stole our friend's souls-" KT brushed dust off one of them with two fingers, "-this is entirely my decision. My free will."

"What do you even get from doing this?" Eddie questioned.

"Power. A chance to show the world I'm not, nor was I ever, just some girl with a key. And most of all, to show you I'm not one to be forgotten."

"Me? You, forgotten? What are you talking about, KT?"

"Why, during all these years, have I been excluded? I'm aware you all are still very close. And I, who was a Sibuna member and you know it, am not there to be close with you all. Because KT isn't needed around. KT isn't wanted. KT was just that girl with a key who just doesn't matter to us."

"None of us have ever thought that way about you."

"So, where have I been all these years? With you guys, solving mysteries like we used to? With you guys, keeping our friendship close? No! I haven't. And Daniel came along. He knew what situation I was in better than anyone else. And he convinced me that if I joined him, I wouldn't be forgotten. I wouldn't be left behind."

"But you're working with the Secret Society, you know that right?"

"Never would I ever; just Daniel. Daniel is the only one I'm working with."

"For the same reason as the Secret Society. Perry is just playing everyone he tricks into working with him."

"He didn't trick me, and he's not playing me! Anyway, before you die, you will get more answers. That's what I really want to tell you. And then we'll have Nina. And then another sacrifice. And the ceremony will happen. Until you're needed further more, you're staying here."

KT walked past him to the door but before she exited, Eddie asked, "How exactly will you get Nina?"

"Oh, we're not getting her. You are."

With that, KT left Eddie to seclusion in the room.

Jerome had eventually abandoned the others and just gone into his room. But he couldn't stop Alfie from going in as well a bit later.

"Hey dude," Alfie greeted as he came in and closed the door. "Sup?"

Jerome looked at him.

"I mean, I know what's 'sup'-" Alfie used finger quotatitions, "-but you don't have to feel bad. We discussed it a bit and decided you aren't a horrible person. Maybe a little stupid and naïve, but not horrible."

"I have to run away," Jerome suddenly declared.

"What?! Where did that come from?"

"Nina has to come too," Jerome continued. "I know Daniel will be coming for her. And there's no one who can protect her better than me right now."

"Have you inhaled something?"

"I know what I'm talking about." Jerome stood up, opened his drawer, and pulled out the dagger he still kept.

"Dude..."

"It'll only be for a short while. We'll devise a full proof plan, Nina and I. And Nina needs to have more dreams about Tithoes in order to free him. But until we have our minds wrapped around this entire problem, Nina and I can't stay here in Anubis house."

"Where will you go?" Alfie asked, following Jerome who was determined to get to Nina.

"I'd tell you, but...you can't ever know."

Short chapter! I'm sorry, but still hope you enjoyed! There has been so much happening in this story, I'm almost sorry. But it still makes for a good story.

And btw, if you were wondering (which you probably weren't but I'll say anyway) I never forgot about KT. I got comments asking where she was and I just didn't bring her into the story, but yo, she's back now!
