I sat in my hotel room on a cushioned black velvet chair in front of a big mirror with bright led lighting strips as the makeup and hair stylists transformed me into a whole new person, almost completely unrecognizable from the absolute slob I had entered here looking like.

Do not get me wrong, I absolutely adore makeup and getting dolled up it is just the fact that I rarely have time do to so, courtesy of my busy schedule. That is why whenever I got the chance I would go all out. My line of work also did not really allow me to wear makeup- or well for being truthful's sake I was allowed to, it was just really impractical. The helmet and balaclava would surely be tainted with transferred makeup and the makeup it self would most definitely be sweated away.

Driving a formula car is warm as fuck and it makes you sweat a shit ton. The thick fire resistant gear combined with the air temperature and heat from the car itself made conditions that could sometimes make you lose 2 kilos of water weight in a weekend.

Marissa, the incredibly talented makeup artist was adding the final touches to my face. The base was a medium coverage foundation that merged beautifully with my skin and she had skillfully bronzed and blushed my entire face to cover up my otherwise very anemic looking winter skin, not only that but she had also successfully concealed my worryingly dark under-eye bags. I had not been sleeping much, the deal with RedBull and my departure from Prema haunted my mind day and night. I would miss my junior team, I had driven for Prema ever since F4. It felt like the first teenage heartbreak I had yet to experience.

She had done a light Smokey eye with different shades of brown and gold eyeshadow that she complemented with nice false lashes and a brown-pinkish nude lip. I am not one to brag but damn I looked sexy in a good Smokey eye look.

Alleseo, my hair stylist on the other hand had heat-brushed my hair before rolling it onto Velcro rollers that he carefully and individually secured to my head with bobby-pins to let it cool down. Meanwhile he gave my hair the first layer of hairspray. The hairspray smelled good, very floral but also quite alcoholic, a fact that made me worry that I would be smelling like a hangover for the rest of the night.

When he took the rollers out it left my hair looking ver 90's it-girl as it showcased my layers and almost-bangs in a very natural way. He instructed me to cover my face with my hands as he once again gave my hair a good layer of hairspray before scrunching in a tiny bit of hair-oil that he had slightly warmed up in his hands to combat the crunchiness from the hairspray.

"Aww thank you guys to did amazing"
I gushed smiling brightly as I studied every detail of my face and hair in the mirror before turning to hug the two.

"Yeah yeah I know I am good but watch the hair" Alleseo jokingly scolded while pointing his finger at me, I blew him a kiss and he shook his head with a laugh.

I stepped back from the two and walked over to my bed to find the pre-picked dress that Vanessa had chosen for me. It was dark navy blue and the fabric was made of shiny silk, the neckline was not too deep and the straps were made of thin delicate golden links. Along with the dress sat tall black heels, a very thin gold chain and matching bracelet and two simple golden rings. Clean and minimal, just how Nessa liked it.

Stepping out of the car I was immediately met with the cheering from the fans and the sharp flashes from cameras. I blinked my eyes and held up my hand to shield my eyes from the bright flash, luckily Christian Horner quickly came to my rescue as he stepped towards me and drew me into a quick embrace, nodding at me with a reassuring smile that I reciprocated before turning to the sea of photographers and fans whom stood before the red carpet. I wondered for a moment wether he had just arrived or if he had been waiting for me seeing as he was so practically placed where I exited the car.
