Enid's eyes go back to the black scarf sitting on Wednesday's desk. reminding herself of what is still at hand. Daeva's missing, a scarf supposedly belonging to Xavier Thorpe was hanging off their balcony and a threatning note, and just like that, all of Enid's worries start to come back.
"what are we going to do about that?" Enid asks and points at the scarf
Wednesday turns around and looks at it.
"don't you worry your pretty little head about that. i'll handle it." Wednesday tells her
'pretty? she thinks i'm pretty?' Enid thought
Wednesday makes her way toward her desk and she opens the drawer, she pulls out a black sheet and takes it to her bed, Enid follows her. she unrolls the sheet and inside contained
"more weapons, nice. here i was thinking the sharpest thing in the room was scissors."
she looks at Wednesday, a smile quickly appears on her face as Wednesday looks at her collection lovingly. Enid then turns her attention to the variation of the three s' in Wednesday's little satchel; shock, sharp and strike. the smile on her face quickly fades and her expression goes into a concerned one.
"Thorpe will pay for even thinking of killing you." Wednesday tells Enid as she takes out a weapon from her arsenal
"you are so messed up."
Wednesday turns from the blade to her roommate, Enid smiles softly at her. Wednesday's eyes darting back and forth from Enid's eyes and her lips.
their moment becomes interrupted by a sudden and urgent knock at their door. Enid goes to open it as Wednesday puts away her weapons. Bianca walks into the room frantic, Enid closes the door and Wednesday comes up to Bianca.
"what do you need Bianca?" Wednesday asks
Bianca shakes her head, her face has worried and scared all over it. her shoes were muddy and she's wearing the clothes she normally wears to go on runs, Wednesday assumes that she's just came back from one.
"it's Xavier. he's not in his room and i found his blazer torn and ripped to pieces in the woods" Bianca tells the girls
"what?" Enid asks in disbelief as she walks closer to the two girls
"Daeva's missing too. she hasn't shown her face anywhere in the last 24 hours." Wednesday informs Bianca
"how do you know it was Xavier's blazer?" Enid questions
"all his clothes and accessories always have his initials embroidered on them. with his blazers it's tucked just underneath the Nevermore logo." Bianca explains as she pulls out the piece she found in the woods and shows it to the girls
Enid grabs it and the same initials are embroidered on the cloth. Wednesday walks over to her desk and grabs the scarf, she comes back to Bianca and hands it to her.
"i got this for him two christmases ago. why do you have this?" Bianca questions
"it was hanging off the gargoyle statue just below our balcony."
Bianca looks up from the scarf to the Addams girl in confusion and disbelief. Enid shakes her head as she starts to pace around, not knowing what to do.
"we tell the new principal if neither Daeva or Xavier show up to lessons tomorrow." Wednesday voices out a plan
"they could be dead by then" Bianca argues
"what's to say they aren't dead right now?" Wednesday questions
"i really don't like that you're thinking about that." Bianca tells her
"it's just a possibility. unless you have a better plan then i suggest you voice that aloud now."
"we go out and look for them." Bianca voices her plan aloud
"are you crazy? who knows what's in the woods!" Enid exclaims, clearly opposing Bianca's plan
"i run through them all the time, all three of us have powers Enid, what's the worse that could happen?"
Enid looks, raises her eyebrows and scoffs at Bianca.
"you have a useful power. mine only comes out during a full moon and Wednesday can't even control her visions."
"no need to throw me under the bus." Wednesday chimes in
Bianca sighs "Enid, you don't have to be a full on werewolf to throw someone across the room"
"but being a big, scary, sharp toothed dog would be so much more help than a blonde, 5'3 girl"
Bianca and Enid continue on to bicker about their plan, all while Wednesday puts the two pieces of clothing together. Xavier's blazer and scarf. where could he possibly have gone?
"Enid, the woods aren't even all that scary, i mean come on you're a freaking werewolf for christ's sake!"
"and? you're not scared of anything just because you're an outcast?!"
"will you two stop with this childish argument? we all know Enid is more cat than dog, so Bianca let her be scared of whatever she wants to be scared of. you two are making me feel like someone is sticking a cork screw into my ears." Wednesday tells them as she turns back toward them
the two stop and look at the girl who has been quiet as a church mouse since the argument started. clearly putting a lot of thought into this whole situation.
"we will look for them tomorrow. if they are dead by now it's evident that they can wait another day." Wednesday adds
"how can you just say that? do you not care whether Xavier is alive or not?" Bianca questions
"i am a bit concerned if that's what you're asking, but i know they aren't dead." Wednesday answers
"why don't we start with something they have in common, something that isn't scary." Enid chimes in
"what could they possibly have in common?" Bianca asks
"the nightshades." Wednesday jumps in "i know Daeva's part of your little elitist social group."
"you think they've been in the library the whole time?"
"it wouldn't hurt to look" Enid shrugs, all for the plan that doesn't involve her going into the woods.
the three girls make their way down to the Poe statue where Bianca snaps twice. once the statue moves out of the way and the staircase going down opens, Wednesday and Enid follow Bianca down. when they got down to the library, no one was there.
Wednesday looks around the room to find if anything is out of place. as Enid watches as Wednesday does her thing, Bianca takes note of this and nudges Enid a bit.
"you keep staring at her like that and i'd think you were in love with her" Bianca whispers and snickers
"w-what? me? in love with Wednesday? you're so funny" Enid keeping the same tone chuckles nervously
the two keep the same tone as they continue on with their conversation.
"are you in love with Wednesday?" Bianca questions as she sees Enid's reaction to her joke
"no," Enid's eyes widen as Bianca asks "we're just besties, i just like watching my friends do things they love"
Bianca looks at Enid skeptically, not below the girl. Wednesday turns back to them and let's out a sigh.
"nothing. no sign of either Daeva nor Xavier. we'll have to wait until tomorrow."
the three girls walk back up the staircase and after Bianca's been over taken by the majority vote, she has no choice but to go along with it.
