Kaleb texts me to meet him outside his house.When I get there he's leaning against the wall, his head in his hands. I rush to his side. "Kaleb! Kaleb whats wrong?" I ask placing my hand on his shoulder. He looks up. "Vivi I have something to tell you" He says, eyes red and tears in his eyes. "What?" I ask. "I'm gay, I just came out to my parents and they got mad at me" He says. He's gay? What should I say? That rhymed. Focus! This is a serious matter! "Aw, Kaleb, I'm so sorry, they shouldn't have gotten mad at you. Do you remember exactly what they said?" I ask. He shakes his head. I give him a hug and he cries into my shoulder. "I should have told you sooner but I didn't know how" He says, wheezing from crying. "I'm sure they will cool down and apologize" I say. "You promise?" He asks, wiping tears from his face. "I promise".
