Broken Bridge

Thats the whole problem.
The fact that when we meet, its a big deal.
Like, i used to see you everyday... where were the celebrations then?
But you dont see the importance of a support until its gone and the bridge breaks downs completely.
And i hate that. That something that is so normal and in place could ever be relocated so suddenly.
And i hate how that absence feels. It cant be replaced. Another support might be added, might stabilize the bridge,  but it will never sit comfortably, and it might not last long.
And thats the fear. That if you try to fill the empty space, it will only lead to another broken piece.
And so you hope. That it will be different.
But the fear might lead you elsewhere. So that you just try to manage with a broken bridge for the rest of your life and that somehow not dealing with it will make it go away.
