1 week later:

Gon POV:

"Hey Gon, can I ask you something? It's a little personal, so you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but you know I just get curious."

I raise an eyebrow at Mito-san from across the breakfast table.

"Sure Mito-san... what is it?"

"Again, I'm nosy so you don't have to answer, but, have you and Killua ever kissed? I mean, I've seen you kiss each other on the cheek, but I mean, like um, on the mouth?" she asks tentatively.

I choke on my cereal.

"Whoa Gon are you ok?"

Mito-san is up in a flash to rub my back, asking if I'm ok.

I cough and sputter, accidentally knocking my spoon out of my cereal. It lands on the table, splashing soy milk onto the wood.

'What the hell kind of question is that!?' my brain screams, but obviously that's not what I say.

"Uhhh, why do you wanna know?" I ask nervously, wiping up the soy milk with a napkin handed to me by grandma.

"You know, I'm just a nosy aunt, I wonder about these things."

"Ohh uh, ok. Y-yeah, we have,"

I turn as red as a tomato and stare down at my cereal.

"It was like a month after we met."

Why did I include that detail??

"Oh ok, just that one time?"

Why is she interrogating me?

"N-no, other times too,"

It's not that it's anything bad, but it definitely feels wrong sharing this info with my family. I've always been an open person but this is just plain embarrassing.

"Awe, that's cute,"

Mito-san stands up and ruffles my hair.

"Uh huh," I murmur, stirring my spoon around in my cereal.

"Ah, young love," Mito-san sighs as she walks away, putting her dish in the sink.

Maybe this interrogation is over...

I had forgotten about the other nosy person in the room.

"So, is it just like a peck, or maybe a little more than that..."

I slam my fist on the table, making the dishes clatter.

"Grandma! I am NOT answering that!"

I grab my cereal bowl and hurry to shove it in the sink.

"Grandma's just teasing you Gon," Mito-san says.

"Am I?" Grandma asks, "If you're so reluctant to tell me, it means it's wasn't just a peck..."

When did I become this victimized?

Someone save me.

"Hey Gon, you coming out or what?"

I turn around sharply.

There in the entrance to the kitchen is none other than Killua, leaning on the doorframe, a playful smirk on his face.

Ah, Killua, my guardian angel, come to save me from this.

Wait, I was supposed to meet Killua today!

"Ah, Killua, we were supposed to meet up, I'm sorry!"

He just shrugs.

"Wait, how did you get in here?"
